The "Schily" Tool Box is a set of tools written or managed by Jörg Schilling. GNU Make examines the timestamps on a set of interdependent files, and, if necessary, issues commands to bring them up-to-date. Most often make is used to rebuild libraries and programs when their sources are changed, but it can be used for any situation where one set of files needs to be generated from another set.
smake is a highly portable 'make' program that makes commands up to date based on rules in Makefiles and on the timestamps of the related files. Its automake features allow you to run scripts to automatically create rules for unknown platforms.
LuaRocks is a deployment and management system for modules in the Lua programming language. It aims to provide facilities for Lua such as those from module systems of other scripting languages, such as Ruby's RubyGems or Perl's CPAN. LuaRocks allows Lua modules to be installed as self-contained packages called "rocks", which also contain version and dependency information.
cygbuild is a porting tool for making Cygwin net releases. It helps Cygwin source and binary package maintainers to configure, build, strip, produce diffs, and generate Cygwin specific files. To put it simply, it converts any freely available program or package into a complete Cygwin net release distribution.
