XMLFoundation provides a foundation for XML support in an application. However, it is more than just another XML parser. It applies a unique approach to handling XML that allows your application code to focus on the application rather than traversing DOM or subscribing to SAX events. The most unique feature of the XMLFoundation is the object oriented encapsulation that provides XML support in the application layer. XMLFoundation allows you to easily integrate XML with your GUI or with your server objects, and it natively supports COM, DCOM, and CORBA objects.

bitstring is a Python module that helps to make the creation and analysis of binary data as simple and natural as possible. Objects can be constructed from integers (big and little endian), floats, hex, octal, binary, byte data, iterables, or files. They can be sliced, joined, reversed, packed, unpacked, inserted into, overwritten, and otherwise operated upon with simple functions or slice notation. They can also be parsed, searched, and navigated in, similar to a file or stream. Internally the data is efficiently stored as byte arrays. It is available for Python 2.6 and later (including Python 3).
Gow (GNU On Windows) is a lightweight alternative to Cygwin. It uses a convenient Windows installer that installs about 130 extremely useful open source Unix applications compiled as native Win32 binaries. validator.py is a tool for ensuring that data conforms to certain sets of rules, called validations. A validation is essentially a schema for a dictionary, containing a list of rules for each key/value pair in the dictionary you want to validate. This is intended to fill a similar use case to form validations in WTForms or Rails, but for general sources of data, not just Web forms.
