Embedthis Appweb is a fast, little embedded Web server. It is unmatched in efficiency and serves pages at native speed, using an event-driven, non-blocking core to serve multiple requests using minimal resources. It has integrated caching and the Embedded Server Pages C-Language Web framework. Without compromising performance, it has extensive security controls and a rigorous security sandbox that helps protect the server and mitigate denial-of-service attacks. It is one of the most widely deployed embedded Web servers and is used in networking equipment, telephony, mobile devices, industrial control, and consumer and office equipment, and in high-performance Web services.
Qt is a comprehensive, object-oriented development framework that enables development of high-performance, cross-platform rich-client and server-side applications. When you implement a program with Qt, you can run it on the X Window System (Unix/X11), Apple Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows NT/9x/2000/XP by simply compiling the source code for the platform you want. Qt is the basis for the KDE desktop environment, and is also used in numerous commercial applications such as Google Earth, Skype for Linux, and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Shishi is a (still incomplete) implementation of Kerberos 5, which can be used to authenticate users in distributed systems. It contains a library that can be used by application developers, and a command line utility for users. Shishi supports Kerberos authenticated telnet client/server, IMAP client/server (via GSSAPI), SSH client/server (via GSSAPI), rsh/rlogin client, and a PAM module for host security.
The Model Railroad System is a software package that can help you run your railroad. It allows you to operate your layout, from running trains to working your signals and switches. It has support for a network of Bruce Chubb CMR/I USIC, SUSIC, and/or SMINI nodes, and/or a network of Lenz's XPressNet DCC nodes. Azatrax USB-connected Model Railroad Detectors are supported. Software to create switch lists for freight car forwarding and create timetables for your railroad are included. There is software to help with photographing your trains, and to compute the correct value for those pesky dropping resistors for LEDs and/or incandescent lamps.
getmail is intended as a simple, secure, and reliable replacement for fetchmail. It retrieves email (either all messages, or only unread messages) from one or more POP3, SPDS, or IMAP4 servers (with or without SSL) for one or more email accounts, and reliably delivers into qmail-style Maildirs, mboxrd files, or through external MDAs (command deliveries) specified on a per-account basis. getmail also has excellent support for domain (multidrop) mailboxes, including delivering messages to different users or destinations based on the envelope recipient address.
Argyll is an ICC compatible color management system. It supports accurate ICC profile creation for scanners, CMYK printers, and film recorders, and calibration and profiling of displays. Spectral sample data is supported, allowing a selection of illuminants observer types, and paper fluorescent whitener additive compensation. Profiles can also incorporate source specific gamut mappings for perceptual and saturation intents. Gamut mapping and profile linking uses the CIECAM02 appearance model, a unique gamut mapping algorithm, and a wide selection of rendering intents. It also includes code for a fast 8-bit raster color conversion engine as well as support for fast, fully accurate 16-bit conversion. Device color gamuts can also be viewed and compared using a VRML viewer.
MatrixSSL is an embedded SSL and TLS implementation designed for small footprint devices and applications requiring low overhead per connection. The library is less than 50K on disk with cipher suites. It includes SSL and TLS client and server support, session resumption, and implementations of RSA, AES, 3DES, ARC4, SHA1, and MD5. The source is well documented and contains portability layers for additional operating systems, cipher suites, and cryptography providers.
A .NET implementation of BCrypt, PHPass, and traditional crypt password algorithms.
A library of synchronization primitives and concurrent data structures for specific update-heavy workloads.
