nexB OpenAssets is a tool for inventorying, managing, and monitoring applications, software, hardware, networks, and generally any IT asset. It is designed so that system administrators, IT, and finance can determine what they have, how it is configured, what it is used for, and how much it is being used, so that informed decisions can be made. It complements existing network management software, integrates with a growing number of protocols and tools, and features no-agent discovery and inventory, configuration management including dependencies and correlation, monitoring, and reporting. It makes extensive and innovative use of XML, Xpath, and Xquery.
Platform Independent Petri Net Editor (PIPE) creates and analyses Petri Nets quickly, efficiently, and effectively. A key design feature is the modular approach adopted for analysis, enabling new modules to be written easily and powerfully, using built-in data layer methods for standard calculations. Six analysis modules are provided, including Invariant Analysis, State-Space Analysis (deadlock, etc.), and Simulation Analysis and Classification. PIPE adheres to the XML Petri net standard (PNML). The file format for saving and loading Petri Nets is extensible through the use of XSLT, the default being PNML.
JagPDF is a library for generating PDF documents in C/C++, Python, and Java. It supports TrueType (subsetting) and standard 14 Type 1 fonts, font metrics, Unicode, UTF-8 and common 8-bit character encodings, images (JPEG, PNG, or custom), paths, color spaces (RGB, CMYK, CIE based, ICC profiles, indexed), encryption, bookmarks, hyperlinks, and more.
SourceID Liberty is a Java implementation of the Liberty Alliance ID-FF 1.2 protocols. It has a workflow-based architecture that provides a great deal of flexibility and extensibility. A server-based application, it focuses on making it possible to seamlessly adapt the Liberty 1.2 federation protocols to existing infrastructure.
Kalyp is a fantasy-based roguelike game written in Java. Its design is based on traditions set by popular roguelike games, especially Nethack. It is single player and runs in a text terminal. The project focuses mostly on the Artificial Intelligence engine for the non-player characters. Most of the game design will be done in scripting, as the core engine written in Java will handle user interface, rulesets, basic actions, and try to hold it all together.
Javasynth is a Java-based system for creating (rather experimental) modular audio systems called sound modules. This allows synthesizers of some kind to be assembled in a modular fashion using oscillators, amplifiers, envelopes, filters, and other components familiar to those that have worked with hardware synthesizers. It includes a separated synth engine and a Swing user interface for building sound modules.
Quality Objects (QuO) is a framework for providing quality of service (QoS) in network-centric distributed applications. These applications range from embedded applications to wide area network applications, including many military and commercial applications. QuO bridges the gap between the socket-level QoS being specified, researched, and provided by a number of organizations and the distributed object level where many distributed applications are best written. QuO adds QoS to CORBA and Java RMI in a manner which is appropriate for creating applications that can adapt to environments that are unpredictable or have strict resource constraints.
A tool that generates model classes from MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite databases.
