Zsh is a UNIX command interpreter (shell) which of the standard shells most resembles the Korn shell (ksh). It includes enhancements of many types, notably in the command-line editor, options for customising its behaviour, filename globbing, features to make C-shell (csh) users feel more at home and extra features drawn from tcsh.
git-info-bar is a ksh, bash, gitbash, and Git shell plugin that endeavors to provide a fast and pronounced view of various git attributes when you are under the umbrella of a git repository. Its main feature, the 'info bar' (information bar), displays the following information: current branch (in 'red' if on master); current cksum (in 'red' if there are uncommitted changes, and an 'uncommitted changes' message in the message area); and stash count in the message area if you have stashes. It includes an install script and removal scripts. It is currently only tested in Bash, GitBash and ksh93. It was previously named 'bash-git', but the name has been transitioned to 'git-info-bar', as a long-term goal is cross-shell compatibility using a Perl back-end.
Lire is a pluggable log analyzer. It has analyzers for over 25 log file formats, ranging from Apache WWW log files to iptables firewall logs and CUPS printing logs. Reports are generated in 9 different output formats, ranging from Excel 95 to PDF to HTML, optionally with included graphs.
Logrep is a secure multi-platform tool for the collection, extraction, and presentation of information from various log files. It features HTML reports, multi-dimensional analysis, overview pages, SSH communication, and graphs, and supports 25 popular systems including Snort, Squid, Postfix, Apache, Sendmail, syslog, iptables/ipchains, xferlog, NT event logs, Firewall-1, wtmp, Oracle listener, and Pix.
Cfg2html is a UNIX shell script that creates HTML and plain ASCII system documentation for software and hardware configurations. It supports HP-UX 10.xx/11.xx, SunOS/Solaris, AIX, SCO Open Server, Linux (SUSE, Debian, and Red Hat), and NT4.0/Win2000 systems. Plugins for SAP R/3, Oracle, Informix, Samba and SWAT, ITO and NNM, XP-Surestore Storage, EVA, SureStore E, SuperDome, OLA/R, SCM, AutoRAID, FC60, Tip/X, MC/SG, and Dataprotector/OmniBack are included.
Alliance CAD System is a set of EDA tools and portable cell libraries for VLSI design. It covers a wide range of the standard design flow (from VHDL up to layout). It includes a VHDL simulator, RTL synthesis tools, place and route tools, netlist extractor, DRC, and a layout editor.
bcnu is a Web-based system management tool which delivers information on the status of networked systems in a simple and easy-to-use manner. It uses a web browser to display information about hosts in a tabular form. Historical information can be held indefinitely, and there is a powerful query tool available to interrogate it. Client systems can run an agent which logs information back to a central system. An agent scheduler is integrated to allow agents to be run at different intervals. Standard agents include ftp, http, disk space, logfiles, processes, and more.
The Domain Server is designed to fulfill the role of a Windows NT domain controller, incorporating LDAP to server as a "Directory Server". The RH Linux Domain Controller Project is designed to function with its sister project, the RH Email Server. The goal of this series of projects is to develop 'meta-distributions' that bring together great OSS projects in an easy-to-install, easy-to-administrate manner, the desired end result being that Microsoft Administrators should be able to easily adapt and migrate to Linux without having to be a 'guru'. The collection of projects will aim to match specific Microsoft products (Exchange Server, etc.) in functionality. Current versions include user and group administration as well as migration tools.
FrAid (Fr[actal] Aid) is a programming language that is appropriate for mathematical computations, visualization, batch processing, and more. It features both a standalone application that provides a programming environment for the language and a system for integrating the language with Java. The Java interface allows mathematical equations and formulas to be used with Java code, making it easier to process numerical computations, symbolic computations, imaging, CAD, and more.
