BRL-CAD is a powerful constructive solid geometry solid modeling system that includes an interactive geometry editor, ray-tracing support for rendering and geometric analysis, path-tracing for realistic image synthesis, network distributed framebuffer support, and image and signal-processing tools.
The SMS Server Tools send and receive short messages through GSM modems or mobile phones. Messages are stored as text files in spool directories. External programs or scripts of any language can be used to filter, inspect, and answer messages automatically. Events and alarms can be passed to scripts for integration in monitoring tools. The program generates performance statistics as well. This daemon supports 7, 8, and 16 bit character sets as well as binary data (ringtones, logos, wap-push), user data header, flash, and delivery reports.
Zsh is a UNIX command interpreter (shell) which of the standard shells most resembles the Korn shell (ksh). It includes enhancements of many types, notably in the command-line editor, options for customising its behaviour, filename globbing, features to make C-shell (csh) users feel more at home and extra features drawn from tcsh.
BitchX is the premiere IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client. It originally was a modified version of the popular ircII client, and the features were eventually merged into the EPIC IRC client. The current development is aimed at merging the client back to a current branch of EPIC and bringing compatibility and stability back to the client, while bringing the features that are BitchX into a new client.
FreeRADIUS is a high-performance, highly configurable, and feature-rich RADIUS server. Supported features include EAP (wireless authentication, PEAP, TTLS), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, LDAP, X9.9 token cards, VMPS, and many more. Kannel is a WAP gateway. It attempts to provide this essential part of the WAP infrastructure freely to everyone so the market potential for WAP services, both from wireless operators and specialized service providers, will be realized as efficiently as possible. It also works as an SMS gateway for GSM networks. Almost all GSM phones can use it to send and receive SMS messages, so this is a way to serve many more clients than just those using a WAP phone. Kannel was among the first WAP gateways to be certified as WAP 1.1 compliant.
Freedup finds and eliminates duplicate files by linking them, and thus reduces the amount of used disk space within one or more file systems. By default, hardlinks are used on a single device, symbolic links when the devices differ. A set of options allows you to modify the methods of file comparison, the hash functions, the linking behavior, and the reporting style. You may use batch or interactive mode. Freedup usually only considers identical files, but when comparing audio or graphics files, you may elect to ignore the tags.
IT++ is a C++ library of mathematical, signal processing, and communication classes and functions. Its main use is in simulation of communication systems or for performing research in the area of communications. The kernel of the library consists of generic vector and matrix classes and lots of functions for vectors and matrices. Such a kernel makes the IT++ library similar to MATLAB or GNU Octave.
