FusionCharts is a Flash charting component that can be used to render data-driven and animated charts in your Web and dekstop applications and presentations. FusionCharts is a cross-browser and cross-platform and can be used with any scripting language and database. It is used with ASP.NET, ASP, PHP, JSP, ColdFusion, Ruby on Rails, Python, simple HTML pages, or even PowerPoint presentations. You do not need to know anything about Flash to use FusionCharts. All you need to know is the language you're programming in. FusionCharts offers over 45 types of 2D and 3D charts.
Palabre is a Flash XML multi-user socket server. It is meant to be used as replacement for the Macromedia Flash Communication Server. It's much more limited, but it has all the basic features for connecting Flash-based clients through XML sockets (such as sending and receiving messages or creating rooms). You can use it to create multiuser applications like chatting, (almost) real time games, and online support. It does not include video streaming functions.
VisIt is an interactive parallel visualization and graphical analysis tool for viewing scientific data. Users can quickly generate visualizations from their data, animate them through time, manipulate them, and save the resulting images for presentations. VisIt contains a rich set of visualization features so that you can view your data in a variety of ways. It can be used to visualize scalar and vector fields defined on two- and three-dimensional (2D and 3D) structured and unstructured meshes. It was designed to interactively handle very large data set sizes in the terascale range, and works well down to small data sets in the kilobyte range.
