ACL2 is a mathematical logic, programming language, and mechanical theorem prover based on the applicative subset of Common Lisp. It is an "industrial-strength" version of the NQTHM or Boyer/Moore theorem prover, and has been used for the formal verification of commercial microprocessors, the Java Virtual Machine, interesting algorithms, and so forth.
C-Cramp (the C-Cramp College Radio Audio Management Program) is a Web-based frontend to MySQL for managing the types of things that small radio stations might need: audio files, data, and "metadata"; DJ and staff information, schedules, live music and program logs, and all sorts of other data. Currently, a cross-platform PHP application is the focus of the project, but more features and types of programs are planned that will hopefully enable easier playback, storage, loading, and entering for all types of applicable data.
DUMA (Detect Unintended Memory Access) stops your program on the exact instruction that overruns (or underruns) a malloc() memory buffer. GDB will then display the source-code line that causes the bug. It works by using the virtual-memory hardware to create a red-zone at the border of each buffer: touch that, and your program stops. It can catch formerly impossible-to-catch overrun bugs. DUMA is a fork of Bruce Perens' Electric Fence library.
Do178Builder is a documentation tool used throughout the software/hardware development effort, helping to produce the DO-178B/254 documentation much less painfully. A major obstacle to creating airborne products, for smaller developers, is the necessity to qualify the software per RTCA/DO-178B, or hardware per RTCA/DO-254. Without this qualification, airborne products cannot be deployed.
EZ Reusable Objects (EZRO) is a Web application that can be used by non-technical staff to manage content as "objects." Content objects containing text, video, and audio can be shared, modified, and re-styled to appear via a traditional Web site, an on-line course, an innovative "Coach," or as a community of interest site. It is highly scalable and can be used for public Web sites, secure environments, and private intra/extranets.
The Maven-Grester plugin is a Maven2 plugin for Jester, the JUnit tester tool. It enables Jester to be executed at any valid Maven lifecycle phase in a Maven Project. It saves developers from constructing cumbersome Java classpath entries on the commandline every time they need Jester to run against JUnit Tests in the project. It can also help to dispense with a suite of scripts that may have been written to handle complex Java classpath executions for Maven projects.
Java Memory Profiler (JMP) uses the JVMPI interface to track objects and method times in the JVM (Java Virtual Machine). It uses a GTK+ interface to display statistics. The current instance count and the total amount of memory for each class is shown as is the total time spent in each method.
"jscpp" is an ANSI C preprocessor and language parser that can analyze and instrument C code. Currently, its most prominent application is to add tracing to existing C programs simply by recompiling and linking it with the "jscc" compiler frontend. The standard tracing shows when a function is entered or left along with the parameters passed or return values. It is also possible to trace each source line and watch read/write access to simple variables. Tracing is achieved by instrumenting the source code before calling the system compiler. The program is modular and can be easily extended to other kinds of source code modifications.
