Brace is a dialect of C that looks like Python. It has coroutines, hygenic macros, header generation, and libraries with graphics and sound. It is meant to be good for beginners, kids, and experts. Brace is translated to C, then compiled, with #! support and cached executables. It is fairly portable, and runs on GNU/Linux, Unix, and Windows with MinGW. It should also run on Mac OS X. It comes with a lot of demo programs, many with animated graphics.
Hormiga is a language designed to be simple and powerful, allowing users without software programming knowledge to make the programs needed to automate the calculations of everyday problems. Generally, it is necessary only for the users to be aware of the problem they want to solve. The language allows programmers to focus on the problem and not to worry about the interactive interface with the user. The programmer will have to state the instructions to solve a problem, in the same way they would do manually. The steps may depend one upon the other. Like most languages, Hormiga has support for functions and the possibility of creating libraries of commonly used code. Unlike most languages, Hormiga automatically and dynamically creates the graphical user interface (GUI) for programs, has support for calculating definite integrals in multiple dimensions, and incorporates a new concept called Step, similar to a procedure of Pascal, but allowing you to state dependences between them.
Z88 is a fast, powerful, and compact finite elements analysis program. Z88 features 20 finite element types; it covers plane stress, plate bending, axial symmetric structures, and spacial structures up to 20-node Serendipity hexahedrons. It comes with a user-friendly interface (the Z88 Commander), and has a powerful mesh generator. It features a DXF coverter and two plot programs. The FEA solver is included, featuring an in-situ Cholesky solver along with the Jennings storage method. COSMOS and NASTRAN files from Pro/ENGINEER can be imported. Z88 is a project of the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
Vis/Space is a client-server system for visually exploring data structures in 3D virtual space. It allows the placement of various data sources in a three-dimensional environment. Custom search terms can be entered into a query field, or can be navigated to and from an existing object. All objects like images and "text screens" can be moved around. A single click on an image shows the full-resolution version in the foreground. Whole collections of images can be moved. A click to the cube also toggles among several different possible layouts. Data sources include search engines, microblogging, Wikipedia, image/video search, and 4chan.
FusionMaps helps you create animated, interactive, and data-driven Flash maps for your dynamic Web applications. It can display geographical data distributed by category, regions, or entities. Usage examples include statistical display of data, flight routes, office locations, election results, survey results, or business data like "Revenue by Regions" or "Revenue by states". It can plot over 450 maps, including all continents, major countries, and US states. The maps are driven by an XML data source.

Shape Collage creates collages using an intelligent machine learning algorithm that automatically places the photos in the collage and can arrange the photos to form different shapes. You can even save the collage as an Adobe Photoshop PSD file, and edit the collage afterwards in Photoshop or GIMP.
libCVD is a very portable and high performance C++ library for computer vision, image, and video processing. The emphasis is on providing simple and efficient image and video handling and high quality implementations of common low-level image processing function. The library is designed in a loosely-coupled manner, so that parts can be used easily in isolation if the whole library is not required. The video grabbing module provides a simple, uniform interface for videos from a variety of sources (live and recorded) and allows easy access to the raw pixel data. Likewise, the image loading/saving module provides simple, uniform interfaces for loading and saving images from bitmaps to 64 bit per channel RGBA images. The image processing routines can be applied easily to images and video, and accelerated versions exist for platforms supporting SSE.
