The WaMCom project tries to create versions of Mozilla that are more stable and correct than official Mozilla milestones. In order to achieve that, stable Mozilla releases are extended with backported correctness fixes from the ongoing Mozilla development. In addition, it contains some selected enhancements not yet available in the official Mozilla project, mostly in the areas of security and cryptography. Examples are APOP authentication for POP3 mail, SMTP/SSL, and support for crypto.signText().
The Fedora software is based on an architecture known as FEDORA (Flexible Extensible Digital Object and Repository Architecture). The software takes advantage of distributed (or local) Web services, and makes representations of objects (called disseminations) available via HTTP. It is particularly good at handling complex digital objects where source datastreams and behaviors are distributed. There are two binary distributions (server and client), and a source distribution (including all libraries and source code needed to build any distribution).

For example, it eases searching the Internet, similar to Apple's Sherlock on Macintosh. The Bookmark Manager can deal with huge collections of bookmarks and allows you to overview and sort them while you are surfing. If you want, you can track the latest headlines or webcams using the Sidebar. The Mailnews client supports multiple IMAP, POP3 and/or news accounts for each user, so you can download and manage all your email from various accounts in one place and store them on your computer or the server. Beonex puts a strong emphasis on security, privacy, and netiquette, to protect the private or confidential information on your computer and to encourage fairness.
