QMentat helps you practice mental arithmetic. It uses arbitrary-length fixed point arithmetic, and can handle any size numbers, only limited by the size of your screen (and in the case of division with an integer result, the speed at which the number can be factored). It is also quite configurable, allowing you to tailor the questions to your needs.
PyParticles is a particle simulation toolbox entirely written in Python. It simulates a particle-by-particle model with the most popular integrations methods, including Euler, Runge Kutta, and Midpoint. It represents the results on an OpenGL or Matplotlib plot, and offers an easy-to-use API.
FroZenLight interrelates line arts, mathematics, and cryptography. Circular shaped mirrors which are arranged in a grid-like manner reflect a light ray according to the reflection law of geometric optics. While random positions of the light source produce chaotic reflection patterns, it is possible to position the light source so that beautiful symmetric reflection patterns are created.
ShapeKit Suite is highly specialized software focused on data modeling. It helps engineers and researchers in creating a data model based on empirical data gathered from experiments. Data models are used in very different scientific domains and are sometimes called differently, depending on the field. ShapeKit Suite is composed of several programs, and uses a broad range of state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques to construct data models in the most effective manner.
Chebfun is a collection of algorithms and a software system in object-oriented MATLAB that extends familiar powerful methods of numerical computation involving numbers to continuous or piecewise-continuous functions. It also implements continuous analogues of linear algebra notions like the QR decomposition and the SVD, and solves ordinary differential equations. The mathematical basis of the system combines tools of Chebyshev expansions, fast Fourier transform, barycentric interpolation, recursive zerofinding, and automatic differentiation.
Theano is a Python library that allows you to define, optimize, and evaluate mathematical expressions involving multi-dimensional arrays efficiently. Theano features tight integration with numpy, transparent use of a GPU, efficient symbolic differentiation, speed and stability optimizations, dynamic C code generation, and extensive unit-testing and self-verification. Theano has been powering large-scale computationally intensive scientific investigations since 2007. But it is also approachable enough to be used in the classroom (IFT6266 at the University of Montreal).
A tool that generates model classes from MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite databases.
