FFmpeg is a tool for converting audio, video, and subtitles. It includes libavcodec, the leading open source codec library. It also includes libavformat (implementing muxers and demuxers), libswscale (for very fast video scaling), and libavfilter (an advanced video filter system supporting arbitrary filter graphs), and libavutil (a utility library intended to supplement libc). A simple multimedia player is included too. An experimental streaming server for live broadcasts is also included.
FXL Template an easy to use template engine offering all the basic features of a template system. It supports simple text/array assignments, blocks, and nested blocks. Well-used regular expressions and the simple template syntax are responsible for quick template processing. The template markup is quite easy to learn, even for those not into programming. A Memcache extension for high traffic pages is freely available.
The FAAC project includes the AAC encoder FAAC and decoder FAAD2. It supports several MPEG-4 object types (LC, Main, LTP, HE AAC, PS) and file formats (ADTS AAC, raw AAC, MP4), multichannel and gapless en/decoding as well as MP4 metadata tags. The codecs are compatible with standard-compliant audio applications using one or more of these profiles.
LGI is a lightweight GUI library and application framework. It supports cross-platform widgets, threads, Unicode, a multi-language resource file in XML (with graphical editor), drag and drop, common dialogs, network support with implementations of common protocols, and an HTML control.
Audiality is a highly scalable and portable audio engine and synthesizer. MIDI files are used in combination with scripting and modular synthesis, to minimize file sizes and maximize flexibility. Audiality can be used as a music and sound effects player in multimedia productions, or as a realtime MIDI synthesizer.
skstream is a network transport library written in C++ using the iostream interface. It provides classes for handling TCP socket connections. It is derived from the FreeSockets library by Rafael Guterres Jeffman. Its primary use to the WorldForge project, who maintain this version, is as a transport for Atlas-C++, the standard Atlas protocol implementation.
SDLucid is a C++ wrapper library for the SDL media library. It aims to not only be a wrapper, but to also offer a cleaner interface than the original SDL, as well as increased functionality. This additional functionality includes fonts, PNG loading, graphical primitives, built-in mixing, mod playing, and MP3 decoding. SDLucid follows naming conventions, approximating those of the Standard Template Library.
Open Simp-X is a powerful Internet platform for everyone, attempting to change programming for the Internet with sharing database information. It strives for scalablility, reliability, and ease of use. The platform consists of a client/server pair. Security is a top priority, and data transfers are encrypted. Open Simp-X achieves scalability through plugins. Plugins can collect information, manipulate it, and send it back to the database. Writing plugins is easy since they do not have to worry about how to send or receive their information, and can focus on manipulating it. Open Simp-X can be set up to retreive data through a LAN or through a Web server.
