Erebus is a 2D real-time role-playing game. Though in its early stages, it is already playable with three quests. It is a classic point-n-click style RPG, with dungeons to explore, enemies to fight, NPCs to talk to, sub-quests to complete, scenery to interact with, weapons, treasure, and other items to find.
"Farspice, a melange odyssey" is an action game with some strategic elements. The goal of the game is to store in your base as much as possible of harvested spice (melange). Construder is a 3D game featuring a dynamic infinite world of cubes to explore and change. In an artificial infinite structure, the player has to gather resources for construction purposes and for basic survival. Its 3D engine and basic game play are inspired by Minecraft and Infiniminer. The goal is to get 10,000,000 score points and get the "Construder" rank. Dangers the player might run into are starvation, as all actions require biological energy, and the randomly appearing robot drones that teleport the player far away. The game is feature complete and ready to play.
BoxWorld is a puzzle game where the player has to place boxes over special places in order to gain energy to teleport to the next level. The boxes can only be pushed, not pulled, thus requiring ordering of the boxes with caution. If the boxes are put into positions that prevent further movement, the player can start the level over, but loses a life by doing so. There are no time limits, so the player can relax and think before acting. The game features nice graphics, enjoyable music, and 525 increasingly difficult levels. The player must come up with more complex strategies on the later levels, with many more pushes and special tricks in order to place the boxes in corners or long corridors. Sometimes most of the boxes are already placed in the appropriate area, but the player has to replace all the boxes just to be able to move another box and arrange it where it belongs.
Fabula is a Python game engine suitable for adventure, role-playing, and strategy games and digital interactive storytelling. It offers a client-server architecture, an event-based protocol, multiplayer and networking capabilities, a multi-threaded server, an abstract, visualization-agnostic model of a game world, an asset manager, and a plugin system. Gameplay can be recorded and played back. The code is well documented and runs on Linux and MS Windows (it should work on OS X, too, but this has not yet been tested). Fabula can be used as a library to develop your own games. As an alternative, you can use the included Pygame-based graphical editor and the default game engine.
Gigalomania is a 2D real time strategy game that is a clone of Mega-Lo-Mania. The gameplay consists of researching and developing new technology with which to conquer your enemies, from rocks and sticks to nuclear weapons and spaceships. You can advance through ten different ages, from the stone age to the future. There are 28 different maps to play through. The game is still under development, but is entirely playable in its current state.
