Generally, whiskers was built with radio reconnaissance in mind as help for geocachers or wardrivers, but also as a penetration and audit tool. There is support for in-depth device scanning, triggering actions based on filters when certain devices are in range, centralized GPS logging with search functions for private or public databases, and much more.
Nagstamon is a Nagios status monitor with a UI that resides in the systray or as a floating statusbar on your desktop. It informs you in realtime about the status of your Nagios, Icinga, Opsview, Ninja, Check_MK/Multisite, or Centreon monitored network. It alerts you with sound and visual notification. Failed hosts and services are easy to connect with by SSH, RDP, and VNC. It works best with GNOME, but also with KDE and Windows.

It includes connection time, SGA data buffer hit ratio, SGA library cache hit ratio, SGA dictionary cache hit ratio, SGA shared pool free, PGA in memory sort ratio, tablespace usage, tablespace fragmentation, tablespace I/O balance, invalid objects, and many more.
MCS MyVoIP very accurately measures the quality and performance of Internet connections for Voice over IP (VoIP) usage by simulating UDP voice data traffic between a server and browser clients. Connections are tested for jitter and packet loss and rated for the supported level of sound quality. The VoIP test can be set to various codecs or customized by packet size, packet rate, and test length. The test can further be combined with a bandwidth speed test or network route diagnostics for more in-depth connection analysis.
Mail ConfiGuru is a standalone cross-platform tool and library that displays the configuration of email clients available to the currently logged-in user. It provides one interface to the settings of all supported email clients, which currently includes Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla Mail (SeaMonkey), MS Outlook, MS Outlook Express, KMail, and Ximian Evolution.
Libsmbios is a cross-platform library intended to be used to obtain common information available in a BIOS. Major features include the ability to update the BIOS on Dell systems (in conjunction with the Dell RBU Linux kernel driver), programmatic access to information in SMBIOS tables, and the ability to obtain Dell system-specific information such as the Dell System ID number, service tag, and asset tag. Future plans include APIs for $PIR and mptable mapping. There is a C API for some of the more commonly used functions, and example binaries to show off most of the facilities.
Tellu is inventory management software that collects hardware and software information automatically from networked servers and workstations, and stores collected data in MySQL database where data is easily readable using a comprehensive user interface usable by any modern Web browser. Devices (like routers and switches), peripherals (like video projectors and displays), and service providers (like hosting and maintenance) can also be stored in the database using a Web interface called Tellu Skin. Inventory management is only one part of Tellu's capability, Tellu offers the possibility to group together workstations, servers, devices, passwords, file attachments, and others to form a faction. For example, a faction can contain all the stuff that a development team needs in their development environment.
Spike Asset Manager (SAM) is a cross-platform framework for probing a system for components and reporting them. It includes a driver file that probes for components commonly found in a LAMPJ stack (Apache, MySQL, PHP, Tomcat, etc). It can find multiple versions that are installed, query the RPM database, and indicate whether components are running.
