MakeHuman is software for the modelling of three-dimensional humanoid characters. Features that make this software unique include a highly intuitive GUI and a high quality mesh, optimized to work in subdivision surface mode (for example, Zbrush). Using MakeHuman, a photo-realistic character can be modelled in less than 2 minutes.
Theory is a Python/Pylons-based Web client for the MPD system that uses Ajax where it makes sense. It includes drag/drop playlist reordering, Amazon cover art retrieval, a full-screen "party" mode, lyrics fetching from lyricswiki.org, automatic linking to the artist's Wikipedia page, and a decent theme.
FreeCAD is a CAx RAD based on OpenCASCADE, Qt4, and Python. It features some key concepts like Macro recording, Workbenches, and the ability to run as a server. It's also platform-independent. It is is fully scriptable and designed to be easily extensible; only the core functionality is embedded into the core libraries, but all further functionality like support of triangle meshes, CAM, FEM, etc. is implemented in extension modules. Normally, such a module is divided into an 'App' part containing the data structures and algorithms and a 'GUI' containing the graphical representation of data structures, dialogs, workbenches, etc.
TAMOGEN is designed either to create a mosaic of one image out of another or to create a mosaic of one image out of itself. Instead of selecting images from a pool on a best-fit basis, the generator utilizes one user-identified image to create a mosaic of another user-identified image by altering the tone of the component image. TAMOGEN will create color or black-and-white mosaics of arbitrary size.
Coherence is a set of DLNA/UPnP devices, like MediaServer and MediaRenderer. In addition, it includes a well-designed framework to extend other applications with DLNA/UPnP functionality. It also has an emerging DBus API, enabling these applications to participate in digital living networks. It supports Playstation 3 (PS3), XBox, and many other devices.
Python Mesh Viewer is a very basic tool to display and play with 3D models. You can either construct them in the code (by defining points, triangles, and quads) or load them from a file. Currently, the only file format supported is the ".mesh" format from the closed source software medit. The rendering is done with absolutely no hardware acceleration (no OpenGL).
