PylotLight is a cross-platform, themeable, plugin-supporting system for general computing tasks. It is comparable to QuickSilver, which you may recognize if you use a Mac. Current plugins exist for Web searches, Firefox bookmark launching, filesystem browsing and managing, subversion control, terminal control, and more.
VncThumbnailViewer gives you the ability to connect to and watch multiple computers at the same time using the VNC protocol. It presents live thumbnail views of many computers in a single window, scaling and rescaling the views to best fit. Double-clicking on a single thumbnail allows you to enlarge it and take control of that computer's keyboard and mouse.

Showcase is a Mozilla Firefox plugin that allows tabs and windows to be managed by showing them as thumbnails in a single window, tab, or sidebar. It includes a find bar that will filter the thumbnails and the capability to select the thumbnails in the same way you would select files in your system.
XMLToaster is a tool for extracting and loading XML from databases. It provides a modified version of SQL which has XML mapping extenstions. It can be compared to the "for xml" command in MS SQL Server 2008, but it runs on all common databases and scales to handle very large XML mappings without too much complexity. It is used as a Java library to write XML interfaces, but can also be run as a command line tool.
