Dancer is a Perl framework for building Web applications with minimal effort. It started as a port of Ruby's Sinatra project, but has grown on its own path. A Dancer app can run as a standalone Web server or from any Web server using PSGI. It lets the user write an application with very few lines of code. It's powerful and flexible enough to knock up a simple Web site or Web service very quickly, and can scale to much larger projects. Building a Web application with Dancer is as easy as loading the library and defining route handlers. Dancer provides an elegant syntax for defining route handlers, can render views with a variety of template engines, supports static file serving, session support, and many more features.
CAMSEG SCM is an application designed to manage sales campaigns. It contains all the features required to manage the campaign data (customers, products, etc.) and sales, including powerful stock management functionalities. A very extensible report system is also included, allowing almost unlimited report possibilities.
A secure portal type application provides four basic functions for a Web development team: application security, account management, user and application mapping, and modular application development capability. AppDepot is not a content management system. The main objective of AppDepot is to offload critical functionality from the application and onto AppDepot. Web application developers are then free to focus on core application functionality. AppDepot works to provide a lightweight, small footprint platform where users and applications meet securely.
Simulated annealing is a computational algorithm for optimization. It mimics the physical process of thermal annealing in which a metal is heated and then slowly cooled to settle into a highly ordered crystal structure. For common metals, the lowest energy state is already known. But the method is useful for other problems where the best state is not known and exhaustively searching all possible states is impractical. The method is applied by modeling the problem as a physical system with structure, energy, and temperature. This Python module implements simulated annealing so that it can be easily applied to a variety of problems. An example program is include to perform simulated annealing of the traveling salesman problem.
StarCluster is a utility for creating traditional computing clusters used in research labs or for general distributed computing applications on Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). It uses a simple configuration file provided by the user to request cloud resources from Amazon and to automatically configure them with a queuing system, an NFS shared /home directory, passwordless SSH, OpenMPI, and ~140GB scratch disk space. It consists of a Python library and a simple command line interface to the library. For end-users, the command line interface provides simple intuitive options for getting started with distributed computing on EC2 (i.e. starting/stopping clusters, managing AMIs, etc). For developers, the library wraps the EC2 API to provide a simplified interface for launching/terminating nodes, executing commands on the nodes, copying files to/from the nodes, etc.
Pandora FMS is a software-monitoring tool created for all kinds of companies. It is specially designed for large environments, and works by first managing servers, applications, and communications, and then notifying clients of problems and failures before they occur. Pandora FMS also includes a configurable report system that evaluates and notifies the client on the level of fulfillment and compliance of their systems. It supports all kinds of technologies unifying the management tools of your system, such as performance monitoring, network monitoring, and availability management. Pandora FMS makes your company management more agile and improves your process performance.
