Twindy is a window manager inspired by Tracktion, the multitrack audio editor/sequencer for Windows and OS X. It tries to apply Tracktion's workflow, in which everything is on the screen at once, to a window manager. There are two panels, a main panel in which new windows/programs open by default and may be selected using tabs, and a lower panel, which can only hold one window/program at a time. It uses a modified version of the JUCE library (included), resulting in relatively few dependencies and a fairly unique appearance.

X Persistent Remote Applications (xpra) is "screen for X". It lets you run applications remotely (like ordinary X or VNC), but unlike ordinary X, these applications are "persistent" if you lose your connection, or even if you want to switch to another computer. Also unlike VNC, they are ordinary applications on your desktop managed by your window manager, not trapped in a box.

Musca is a simple window manager for X allowing both tiling and stacking modes. It is similar to ratpoison but more friendly to the mouse and using a simpler keyboard navigation. There are no built in status bars, panels, or window decorations save for thin window borders to indicate focus. Window navigation can be mouse click to focus or entirely keyboard driven. Window tiling is manual but simple, and there are no restrictions on how you divide up the screen. It uses dwm's dmenu utility for launching apps and running various built in commands not mapped to hot keys.
