As well as features found in standard text editing components, Scintilla includes features especially useful when editing and debugging source code. These include support for syntax styling, error indicators, code completion and call tips. GtkDatabox is a widget for the GTK+ library designed to display large amounts of numerical data quickly and easily. It allows for one or more data sets of thousands of data points (X and Y coordinates) to be displayed and updated in split seconds. It offers the ability to zoom into and out of the data, and to navigate through your data by scrolling. In addition to rulers and a simple coordinate cross, it allows you to add one (or even more) configurable grids like on an oscilloscope. Data may be presented as dots, lines connecting the data, or vertical bars. The widget allows you to easily transform pixel coordinates into data coordinates, thus allowing you to easily create powerful applications for data analysis.

The IWL includes several widgets with which consistent Web pages can be built quickly. The structure resembles the DOM tree, with the API mimicking Javascript very closely. The widgets themselves can be used as stand-alone object in an already existing scripts, or can be used to build new scripts from the ground up. They can be finalized in both HTML markup and JSON notation, which can be used for scripts. More advanced widgets like the Iconbox come with Javascript files that are automatically included when the widget is finalized as HTML.
