Vit 11.57

Baudline is a time-frequency browser designed for scientific visualization of the spectral domain. Signal analysis is performed by Fourier, correlation, and raster transforms that create colorful spectrograms with vibrant detail. Conduct test and measurement experiments with the built in function generator, or play back audio files with a multitude of effects and filters. The baudline signal analyzer combines fast digital signal processing, versatile high speed displays, and continuous capture tools for hunting down and studying elusive signal characteristics.

The Bubbling Load Monitor (or "Bubblemon" for short) is a system load monitor for the GNOME panel. It looks like a vial containing water. The water level indicates how much (electronic) memory is in use. The color of the liquid indicates how much swap space is used. The amount of bubbles reflects the system CPU load. A message in a bottle indicates there is unread mail. A reed-like graph shows I/O load. On multi-core systems the CPU with the highest load will bubble in the middle, and the others on the sides, so it's possible to see how well load gets distributed between CPUs.

Vit 3.52

DINO is a realtime visualization program for structural biology data, including protein and nucleic-acid coordinates, molecular surfaces, electrostatic potentials, electron densities, surface topographs (from AFM), and MD trajectories. It supports PNG, PostScript and POVray (3.1g and megapov) output. Supported platforms are Linux/i386, Linux/PPC, IRIX, Sun, OSF1, and MacOS X.

Vit 1.00

EGO is a program to perform molecular dynamics simulations on parallel as well as on sequential computers. Supported parallel machines include the Hitachi SR8000, CRAY-T3E, IBM-SP2, Fujitsu VPP700, Parsytec-CC under PARIX, and inhomogeneous clusters of UNIX workstations under PVM or MPI. EGO also runs sequentially on any decent UNIX workstation, even Windows95/NT PC's (with a GNU-C compiler) can be used.

Vit 120.36

EtherApe is a GNOME/pcap-based etherman, interman, and "tcpman" clone. It displays network activity graphically. Active hosts are shown as circles of varying size, and traffic among them is shown as lines of varying width. It supports Ethernet, FDDI, Token Ring, ISDN, PPP, WLAN, and SLIP transports. It knows about VLANs, IP, IPv6, TCP, UDP, FTP, and a number of other protocols. Additional statistics windows will let you concentrate on protocols or nodes.

Vit 12.40

eXtace is a visual sound display/analysis program. It requires Esound (esd) for its audio source. It includes various fast fourier transforms of the audio data in realtime. Its displays include a 3D wireframe flying landscape, a 3D textured flying landscape, a 16-256 channel graphic EQ, three types of scopes, a 3D "spike" flying landscape, and two forms of spectragrams. The 3D traces can be picked up, manipulated, and displayed at nearly any angle. eXtace also features a 3D direction control widget for controlling the angle and speed at which the trace runs away and a gradient/colormap editor for changing the colormap to suit your needs. No OpenGL is required.

Vit 3.14

Flounder is a program to quickly visualize 4D data (x,y,z,t). It can produce isosurfaces, solid renderings, as well as 2D slices. Several data sets can be viewed simultaneously. Temporal data at a spatial location can be examined with output in several formats including PNG and GIF animations.

Download Website Updated 30 Jan 2001 fsv

Pop 71.11
Vit 1.00

fsv, the 3D File System Visualizer, allows you to view a collection of directories and files as three-dimensional geometry. It represents all or part of a filesystem as a collection of blocks of varying sizes, each labeled with a filename, and arranged in a manner consistent with the original directory structure. fsv can visualize any arbitrarily large collection of files, limited only by memory and hardware constraints. Program features include an integrated 2D interface, intelligent camera handling, and extensive use of animation. fsv requires OpenGL.
