Blender is a free 3D animation studio. It includes tools for modeling, sculpting, texturing (painting, node-based shader materials, or UV mapped), UV mapping, rigging and constraints, weight painting, particle systems, simulation (fluids, physics, and soft body dynamics and an external crowd simulator), rendering, node-based compositing, and non linear video editing, as well as an integrated game engine for real-time interactive 3D, and game creation and playback with cross-platform compatibility.
libCVD is a very portable and high performance C++ library for computer vision, image, and video processing. The emphasis is on providing simple and efficient image and video handling and high quality implementations of common low-level image processing function. The library is designed in a loosely-coupled manner, so that parts can be used easily in isolation if the whole library is not required. The video grabbing module provides a simple, uniform interface for videos from a variety of sources (live and recorded) and allows easy access to the raw pixel data. Likewise, the image loading/saving module provides simple, uniform interfaces for loading and saving images from bitmaps to 64 bit per channel RGBA images. The image processing routines can be applied easily to images and video, and accelerated versions exist for platforms supporting SSE.

CVL is a library for image and data processing using graphics processing units (GPUs). It is suitable as a base for GPGPU applications. Cvtool is a general-purpose computer vision tool that is based on the CVL library. It works as a filter by reading streams of data from standard input and writing manipulated data and/or analysis results to standard output. Complex analysis tasks can easily be realized in scripts. Many image and video manipulation and analysis functions are included, as well as some advanced computer vision techniques.
unicap is a library to access different kinds of capture devices. Device drivers are loaded with a plugin system so that new drivers can be easily added. Currently, it has support for video-4-linux, video-4-linux-2, IIDC cameras, and video-to-firewire converters, and provides GTK widgets for live video display and access to device properties.
Eckbox is van Eck Phreaking tool that interprets a radio signal emanating from a computer's monitor to recreate the image (in black and white) that is displayed on it. It could be used as a valuable security tool for testing otherwise secure computers or for developing hardware and software to counter this type of remote shoulder-surfing. It is not intended to be used for illegal purposes, and includes information on the hardware required.

Numerics, imaging, and geometry are provided by stand-alone core libraries, with easy to use APIs and sophisticated processing algorithms. Other libraries provide stereo, video, structure from motion, probability modeling, GUI design, classification, robust estimation, feature tracking, topology, 3d imaging, and much more. It is written and used by an international team from academia and industry.
