Anthill is a tool that ensures a controlled build process and promotes the sharing of knowledge within an organization. It supports many reposistory adapters including: CVS (Concurrent Versions System), Visual Source Safe, Perforce, PVCS, StarTeam, MKSIntegrity, and FileSystem. Anthill also automatically updates a project intranet site with artifacts from the latest build. The aim of the PicoForge project (previously known as PicoLibre) is to provide a set of high level libre software applications that are well integrated in order to provide a collaborative "forge". It makes it easy to deploy a collaborative work platform for developing software or hosting other collaborative activities. Having started (as PicoLibre) in an educational context, PicoForge is now a quite generic platform, comparable (but sometimes less advanced) to other *-Forge software platforms. It groups several high-level applications like phpGroupware, Sympa, TWiki, Subversion, and CVS.

Codestriker is a Web application that supports online code reviews. Traditional document reviews are supported, as well as reviewing diffs generated by an SCM (Source Code Management) system and plain unidiff patches. There are integration points with CVS, Subversion, Clearcase, Perforce, Visual SourceSafe, and Bugzilla. There is a plug-in architecture for supporting other SCMs and issue tracking systems. It minimizes paper work, ensures that issues, comments, and decisions are recorded in a database, and provides a comfortable workspace for actually performing code inspections. An optional highly-configurable metrics subsystem allows you to record code inspection metrics as a part of your process.

The code has been end-of-lifed and using cvs-fast-export instead is recommended.

cvs-importer automates the task of importing all past versions of an existing project into CVS or Subversion, including automatically removing generated files, creating .cvsignore files/svn:ignore properties, and tagging each version. Thus, you can gain some of the advantages of scm for the older versions that weren't actually developed in cvs/svn, by having all the changes in the history.

Download Website Updated 07 Dec 2001 Panasync Tools

Panasync Tools provides a set of commands that enables version tracking among plain file copies. Retaining the basic functionality of standard copy commands, one can always track if a file has seen more updates than another file, and determine redundant or equivalent file copies. The approach is totally decentralized and serverless, and the functionality is achieved by small command-line user level programs that manipulate (by duplicating, comparing, joining and moving) any given file. By copying files with these commands users can detect if those files forgotten on disks or dispersed on different file systems and computers hold obsolete versions, and can thus be deleted, or need to be merged when depicting parallel updates. The updates, themselves can be done by any application since the system keeps a digest of the files to detect changes.
