AccuRev is a fast, powerful, and easy-to-use Software Configuration Management (SCM) tool with integrated issue tracking based on "Streams" that more efficiently manages complex parallel and global development. Streams are a combination and superset of branches and labels that are first class objects instead of being file-by-file attributes. AccuRev records all merges and patches, so you never have to re-merge the same code. It supports file and directory renaming and merging, follows a client/server model, and is transaction-based. It includes an integrated graphical 3-way diff and merge tool. AccuRev provides an Open API (and SDK) to integrate with any third-party development tool (IBM/Rational ClearQuest, Serena TeamTrack, and more out of the box). It also integrates with Eclipse, the MS SCC API (MS Visual Studio), Sun Java Studio, any diff/merge tool with a command line interface, and more.

jCVS is a Java based CVS Client. CVS is a source code control system based on RCS and extended to handle complete projects as a whole, rather than individual files. The primary benefit of CVS is that it provides a server/client protocol which allows clients such as jCVS to be written. Katie is a revision control system, somewhat like a cross between CVS and NFS, that was inspired by Rational ClearCase. The three most interesting features are that the repository is mounted as a filesystem (rather than being copied to a local workspace), that all versions of all files (even deleted ones) are accessible through this filesystem (so the "katie diff" command is a convenience rather than a necessity like "cvs diff"), and that directories are versioned (just like files are). It is functional enough to be self-hosting, but there is much work still to go before it will be a generally useful tool. Features that are implemented already include VOBs, elements, branches, dynamic views, view-extended pathnames, config specs (including auto-make-branch rules), labels, hard links, and symbolic links.
