The Echo2 Extras package is a collection of additional Web user interface components for the AJAX-based Echo2 Web framework. Provided components include a tabbed pane, an animated "accordion" pane, a pulldown menu, an HSV-style color selector, and a calendar widget. These components may be used with the latest Echo2 2.1 releases.
Setedit is a text editor specially designed for programmers. It has a nice interface with mouse support, menus and windows (text mode). The editor is a very good choice for people with DOS background, especially people accustomed to Worstar and Borland editors. The editor has overlapped windows so you can see more than one file at the same time, configurable syntax highlighting, macros, rectangular selection, block indentation, as well as customizable keyboard shortcuts and menus.
EveryGui provides two applications. Chameleon is a dynamic GUI for virtually any tool or OS command, which not only executes the commands but can save a batch of commands into a shell script. Designer is a visual environment for editing config files that determine Chameleon's different behaviours for each tool/command. Designer is like a mini cross between QT Designer and Glade, but requires no coding at all to get the functionality working.
pyratemp is probably (one of) the smallest complete template-engines for Python (with about 500 LOC). It has a very small set of special syntax in the templates. This reduces complexity and the probability of bugs and lead to an easy-to-use and intuitive user-interface. It uses embedded Python-expressions (in a "sandbox"), is well documented, has full Unicode-support, and produces very good error-messages, which is very useful when creating new templates.
Vis/Space is a client-server system for visually exploring data structures in 3D virtual space. It allows the placement of various data sources in a three-dimensional environment. Custom search terms can be entered into a query field, or can be navigated to and from an existing object. All objects like images and "text screens" can be moved around. A single click on an image shows the full-resolution version in the foreground. Whole collections of images can be moved. A click to the cube also toggles among several different possible layouts. Data sources include search engines, microblogging, Wikipedia, image/video search, and 4chan.
Multixterm creates multiple xterms that can be driven together or separately. It can be used to login via SSH to multiple hosts and control them simultaneously, or for ad hoc things where you want to see the results as you type. Each xterm may also be driven separately. Multixterm is scriptable so that you can easily fire up, for example, a dozen xterms with a single command, tiled nicely on your screen. In addition to SSH, multixterm can drive rlogin, telnet, passwd, or any program that runs in an xterm.
