ZMailer is an internet message transfer agent. It is intended for gateways or mail servers or other large site environments that have extreme demands on the abilities of the mailer. It was motivated by the problems of the Sendmail design in such situations. It is intended and designed as a multi-protocol mailer. The only protocol supported in this distribution is RFC822 (and variations).
The lptools suite provides a complete, programming-language independent, literate programming environment. The suite targets XML documentation, but the underlying system has no bias that would disadvantage other documentation languages. It also includes a programmable build tool (a replacement for 'make') that can handle very complex and dynamic dependency graphs.
Platform Independent Petri Net Editor (PIPE) creates and analyses Petri Nets quickly, efficiently, and effectively. A key design feature is the modular approach adopted for analysis, enabling new modules to be written easily and powerfully, using built-in data layer methods for standard calculations. Six analysis modules are provided, including Invariant Analysis, State-Space Analysis (deadlock, etc.), and Simulation Analysis and Classification. PIPE adheres to the XML Petri net standard (PNML). The file format for saving and loading Petri Nets is extensible through the use of XSLT, the default being PNML.
nexB OpenAssets is a tool for inventorying, managing, and monitoring applications, software, hardware, networks, and generally any IT asset. It is designed so that system administrators, IT, and finance can determine what they have, how it is configured, what it is used for, and how much it is being used, so that informed decisions can be made. It complements existing network management software, integrates with a growing number of protocols and tools, and features no-agent discovery and inventory, configuration management including dependencies and correlation, monitoring, and reporting. It makes extensive and innovative use of XML, Xpath, and Xquery.
SourceID Liberty is a Java implementation of the Liberty Alliance ID-FF 1.2 protocols. It has a workflow-based architecture that provides a great deal of flexibility and extensibility. A server-based application, it focuses on making it possible to seamlessly adapt the Liberty 1.2 federation protocols to existing infrastructure.
In Haskell, data type declarations, Parsec parsers, and HughesPJ pretty-printers very much resemble each other; supplying all three is virtuous, but involves a large amount of code duplication. syntran is a code generator designed to reduce the amount of duplication. Its source is similar to a Parsec LanguageDef-using parser, annotated with the unique information from the data type declaration and the pretty-printer which would normally not be found in a parser. It separates this information out to generate pure Haskell.
