Amethyst started as a port of Infobot to POE, continuing as a generic bot core with the ability to handle multiple connections using different protocols (not necessarily IRC) and soft route the incoming messages through a number of processing centres. One of these processing centres contains much of the original Infobot core.

Perl XSQL is a simple creator of XML data from DBI datasources. It allows you to easily extract data from a database, and manipulate it later using XML::Parser or in association with a XSL template file to a XSLT parser like Sablotron or GNOME libxml. This allows you to create dynamic Web applications by simply setting your SQL queries into a XML file and generating the HTML output using a XSL template. It acts exactly like the Oracle XSQL servlet.
tgen generates a Web site from a collection of input files of a variety of types, using a set of registered HTML autogenerators. This allows, for example, the generation a Web site consisting of plain text pages, EtText formatted files, man or POD documentation, and/or custom formats, with a consistent and attractive look-and-feel. It is a driver program; the actual conversion work is done by a set of plugin filters or "autoformatters" (named *2hts[.*]).

Benchmarks can vary greatly from system to system, so this tool allows one to get numbers on one's own platform. Applications tested include mod_perl, mod_php, Tomcat, and Apache::ASP, with over 62 benchmarks in all.

Along with template engine capabilities, it features session management, global variables support, cookies support, and various database interfaces. It also features a pure Perl mail client, categories management, form checking, and libraries such as a CGI-based downloading library, HTML parsers, and a library that makes PHP functions available to Perl for ease of development.

With u6edit, you can create, modify, and delete objects; manipulate containers, via a tree view; edit terrain in place; view all map and object tiles; view tile and palette animation; view book contents; save map and object data; and play your new worlds with Ultima 6. It is a GTK application written in Perl.
