audio convert is a script that converts between WAV, Ogg, MP3, MPC, FLAC, APE, AAC, and WMA files. It has an easy-to-use interface that makes it possible to fill in the tags for a few formats, copy the tags from input files into the new files, and choose the quality of compression. The script was initially designed for the Nautilus file browser and can be easily installed into Nautilus by using the installer provided with the script. You can then right-click on files and choose "audio-convert" from the "scripts" menu. The script is also known to work on rox or directly from a shell.

OraRep is a PL/SQL snippet (embedded in a shell script) which creates a well-formatted HTML report on a given database instance, providing you with an overview on your instance(s), some hints for performance tuning, and more. It has been tested with Oracle 8.1.7, 9.0.1, and 9.2. The script easily fits into a cron task to be run on a regular basis. Sample output (HTML) is included. OSPRep does the same job for Oracle StatsPack Reports based on SnapShot Levels up to 7, and provides additional "plugins" for more detailed reporting on special issues. It also optionally creates a separate page with charts to visualize the results and more.

It can be used for IP accounting (allows you to design various kinds of accounting filters), SNMP monitoring (collects data making SNMP requests), ICMP monitoring (stores and summarizes values like min, avg, max reply time, and packet loss), and client traffic filtering (using various types of filters). It also provides user based access so that every user can log in and visualize various data (depending on access rights). It supports ISO9660 filesystems and afio archives. Its special features are automatic division of data into multiple volumes, verification of write success, incremental backups, a search and restore helper for large ISO9660 backups. CDs get written via cdrecord, wodim, cdrskin, or xorriso. DVDs and BDs get written via growisofs, cdrskin, or xorriso.

Card Services for Linux is a complete PCMCIA or PC Card support package. It includes a set of loadable kernel modules that implement a version of the Card Services applications program interface, a set of client drivers for specific cards, and a card manager daemon that can respond to card insertion and removal events, loading and unloading drivers on demand.
