transset-df is a heavily patched version of xorg's transset. It is used to set the transparency of windows in X with the xcomposite extension. It adds several command line options to make it easier to use directly, bound to hot keys in your window manager, or through scripts. These include the ability to select a window by window ID.
Preferences Hide and Seek is a utility that groups together all the options that actually exist for GNOME preferences, but are usually hard to find or are just plain hidden from the user. This utility makes it possible to create a simple data file to expose gconf-based options to the user. It was created to allow usable access to the hidden application options buried within gconf.
Apcon is a systemtray application for KDE that makes it very easy for users to specify and manage different network/connection profiles and connect/disconnect to/from them. A user can also get several details about a connection. An integrated wizard leads the user through this process. The idea of Apcon is based on IBM's Access Connections Tool for the Thinkpads.
TV-Browser is a TV guide (EPG) that is easily extensible using plugins. It is designed to look like a paper-based European TV guide. Included are over 500 mostly European channels (Germany, UK, Sweden, and Norway). It is possible to add channels yourself using tools offered on the homepage or via the plugin interface. For US viewers, a SchedulesDirect plugin is included.
Clipcast links the cut-and-paste functions of two or more workstations together. Clipcast is run on each workstation with the name of the other workstations as arguments. When you paste something into the clipcast icon, it is immediately encrypted and transferred to the clipboard of all connected workstations.
