The MPI-IO Test is built on top of MPI's I/O calls and is used to gather timing information for reading from and writing to file(s) using a variety of I/O profiles. A data aggregation capability is available and the user can pass down MPI-IO, ROMIO, and file system specific hints. The MPI-IO Test can be used for performance benchmarking and, in some cases, to diagnose problems with file systems or I/O networks.

Cobra is a general purpose programming language with a clean, high-level syntax. It provides language level features for quality, including first class unit tests and Eiffel-style contracts. It supports both static and dynamic binding. Cobra is a compiled language with good run-time performance, but also provides some scripting conveniences such as a pound-bang line (#!) and one step compile-and-run. PyreRing is a test runner that executes scripts intended to act as individual test cases. By removing the administrative burden that often surrounds testing, the test author can focus on writing meaningful, direct, and useful test cases. As long as you wrap your test cases with a Unix shell or scripted language wrapper, it will be executed. It allows you to set a timeout value, send reports to email addresses, automatically organize your test cases with filesystem directories or suite files that you define, create automatic suites based on a predefined block in your test scripts, and capture standard out and standard error into a comprehensive log.

System and Process Monitor in Java provides a JNI (Java Native Interface) implementation for monitoring global system resources and processes (outside JVM) via a unified (cross-platform) interface. The Java interface and all native libraries are compiled into a single JAR and are loaded transparently on any architecture upon request. It should be easy to embedd this code into your Java applications, either as a separate JAR or as one single application archive.

Dehydra is a lightweight, scriptable, general purpose static analysis tool capable of application-specific analyses of C++ code. In the simplest sense, it can be thought of as a semantic grep tool. It presents a wealth of semantic information that can be queried with concise JavaScripts. It is also useful to find bugs in source code, as it allows for much more error checking than C++ is capable of by itself. Dehydra is built as a GCC plugin, thus it is easy to use for projects that already support GCC. It is also useful for generating language bindings and is used to bootstrap Treehydra, a heavy-duty static analysis GCC plugin. Dehydra and Treehydra are being developed by Mozilla and are currently actively used.
