TrackStudio is a hierarchical Java-based issue tracking and bug tracking system. It includes per-project workflows, user role specific actions, filters, notification rules, subscriptions, access control lists, and reports. Both hierarchical categorization and cross-cutting views of your issue space are provided.
The Linux Test Project is a joint project with SGI, IBM, OSDL, Bull, and Wipro Technologies with a goal to deliver test suites to the open source community that validate the reliability, robustness, and stability of Linux. The project consists of well over 2000 individual testcases and a test driver to automate execution of the tests.
HOL-TestGen allows one to write test specifications in Higher-order logics (HOL). It can (semi-) automatically partition the input space, resulting in abstract test cases, and automatically select concrete test data. Automatic generation of test harnesses (in SML) is supported, and using a foreign language interface, implementations in arbitrary languages (e.g. C) can be tested.
Tsung (formerly known as IDX-Tsunami) is a distributed load testing tool. It is protocol-independent and can currently be used to stress HTTP, WebDAV, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LDAP, and XMPP/Jabber servers. It simulates user behavior using an XML description file, reports many measurements in real time (statistics can be customized with transactions, and graphics generated using gnuplot). For HTTP, it supports 1.0 and 1.1, has a proxy mode to record sessions, supports GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE methods, Cookies, and Basic WWW-authentication. It also has support for SSL.
StoryText (formerly PyUseCase) is an unconventional GUI testing tool written in Python. It currently has mature support for PyGTK, beta status support for Java Swing, SWT/Eclipse RCP, and Tkinter, and very basic support for wxPython. Instead of recording GUI mechanics directly, it asks the user for descriptive names and hence builds up a "domain language" along with a "UI map file" that translates it into the current GUI layout. Instead of an "assertion" mechanism, it auto-generates a log of the GUI appearance and changes to it, so as to use that as a baseline for text-based testing, using e.g. TextTest. Instead of requiring the tester to add "wait" statements by hand, it includes support for instrumenting code so that "waits" can be recorded.
TestLink is a test management tool and execution tracking system with Web based and SOAP interfaces. It helps streamline the software development process. It enables quality assurance teams to create and manage their test cases and organize them into test plans and execute them. Users can also manage requirements, create reports, and directly work with bug trackers.
Asymptopia Crossword Builder (Math/Text) is an application that runs in any modern Web browser, but does not require an Internet connection (if it is installed locally). The application was designed to allow teachers to quickly produce well-designed, challenging activities. The application features a configuration panel where the user can either enter their own word-hint pairs, or generate math-crossword problems via a single button. The math functionality generates word:hint pairs like: "four:7/x-3/8=11/8", where the hint corresponds to the problem, and the student would write the letters "four" in the corresponding boxes of the puzzle.
