Tcl provides a portable scripting environment for Unix, Windows, and Macintosh that supports string processing and pattern matching, native file system access, shell-like control over other programs, TCP/IP networking, timers, and event-driven I/O. Tcl has traditional programming constructs like variables, loops, procedures, namespaces, error handling, script packages, and dynamic loading of DLLs. Trowser is a browser for large line-oriented text files (such as debug traces). It's meant as an alternative to "less". Compared to less, trowser adds color highlighting, a persistent search history, graphical bookmarking, separate search result windows, and flexible skipping of input from pipes to STDIN. Trowser has a graphical interface, but is designed to allow browsing via the keyboard at least to the same extent as less. Key bindings and the cursor positioning concept are derived from vim.
GASP is a generic protocol encoder and decoder. It offers a complete scripting language (based on Tcl) which allows you to construct or analyze any packet of data based on abstract protocol definition. This version includes all the basics networking protocols (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, and DNS), some protocols for archivers (ZIP, GZIP, and TAR), and some multimedia protocols (JPEG, GIF, and PNG).
tclwebtest is a tool to write automated tests for Web applications. It provides a simple API for issuing HTTP requests, dealing with the result, and assuming specific response values, while taking care of the details such as redirects and cookies. It has some basic HTML parsing functionality, to provide access to elements of the result HTML page that are needed for testing (mainly links and forms).
PEP is a modeling and verification framework for parallel systems. It provides a large number of different modelling languages (e.g. SDL, B(PN)^2, Petri nets, Process algebras and Finite Automata), and verification techniques (e.g. reachability and temporal logic model checking). Due to its Tcl/Tk-based GUI, PEP is easily extensible to other analysis or specification tools. The framework offers fully integrated simulation and debugging features on all levels.
