Linux Desktop Testing Project is aimed at producing a high quality test automation framework and cutting-edge tools that can be used to test the GNU desktop and improve it. It uses the "Accessibility" libraries to poke through the application's user interface. The framework also has tools to record test-cases based on user-selection on the application.
Alleyoop is a GNOME frontend to the Valgrind memory checker. KSalomon is a vocabulary trainer for KDE. It is based on the "Leitner Learning System"; a card index box in which you can drop several vocabulary files. Words you know can be moved into folders where they won't be tested very often, and the words you forget will be tested more regularly. It features the ability to record/play sounds for the words, different fonts for various languages, the ability to add pictures to the words, the ability to have several possible correct answers, and configurable key bindings for special chars.
