Bugzero is a Web-based change management and issue tracking system used in a distributed team environment to track software bugs, hardware defects, test cases, or any other issues. It can also be used equally well as a helpdesk customer support, trouble ticketing, or email management system to collect and manage customer feedbacks, incidents, requests, and issues. It is easy to use, but still flexible and adaptive, and can be configured to fit to your organization's unique business process and workflow.
Tsung is a distributed load testing tool. It is protocol-independent and can currently be used to stress HTTP, WebDAV, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LDAP, AMQP, and XMPP/Jabber servers. It simulates user behavior using an XML description file, reports many measurements in real time (statistics can be customized with transactions, and graphics generated using gnuplot). For HTTP, it supports 1.0 and 1.1, has a proxy mode to record sessions, supports GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE methods, cookies, and basic/digest authentication. It also has support for SSL, WebSocket, and BOSH.
Moodle is a learning management system for producing Internet-based course Web sites. It is written in PHP and is easy to install and use on Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, SunOS, BSD, and Netware 6. It has been designed to support modern pedagogies based on social constructionist theory, and includes activity modules such as forums, chats, resources, journals, quizzes, surveys, choices, workshops, glossaries, lessons, and assignments. It has been translated into over 70 languages, with more on the way, and supports the popular SCORM standard for content packaging. Moodle offers a free alternative to commercial software such as WebCT or Blackboard, and is being used by a growing number of universities, schools, and independent teachers for distance education or to supplement face-to-face teaching.
sipsak is a command line tool for performing various tests on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) applications and devices. It can make several different tests, send the contents of a file, and interpret and react on the responses. It supports (de-) registration with given contact URIs and digest authentication.
Dokeos is a Web application to manage learning and collaboration activities. It allows the teacher/trainer to create content, to structure activities along a sequenced path, to interact with students/trainees, and to follow their progress. It has been translated into 31 languages, and is used by more than 3500 organizations worldwide.
Sipp is a performance testing tool for the SIP protocol. It includes a few basic SipStone user agent scenarios (UAC & UAS) and establishes and releases multiple calls with the INVITE and BYE methods. It also reads XML scenario files describing any performance testing configuration. It features the dynamic display of statistics about running tests, periodic CSV statistics dumps, TCP, UDP, or TLS over IPv4 or IPv6 over multiple sockets or multiplexed with retransmission management, regular expressions and variables in scenario files, conditional branching, and dynamically-adjustable call rates. RTP play (voice, video, and RFC2833 DTMFs) is also supported.
alph implements and analyzes historical and traditional ciphers and codes, such as polyalphabetic, substitutional, and mixed employing human-reconstructable algorithms. It provides a pipe filter interface in order to encrypt and decrypt block text to achieve transparency. The program is meant to be used in conjunction with external programs that transfer data, resulting in transparent encryption or decryption of information. The program can thus be used as a mail filter, IRC filter, IM filter, and so on.
SipUnit provides a class library that allows software developers to create automated unit tests for SIP applications. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is widely used for providing telephone services over the Internet. SipUnit extends the JUnit framework to incorporate SIP-specific assertions, and it provides a high-level API for performing the SIP operations needed to interact with or invoke a test target. A test program using the SipUnit API is written in Java and acts as a network element that sends/receives SIP requests and responses.
Platform Independent Petri Net Editor (PIPE) creates and analyses Petri Nets quickly, efficiently, and effectively. A key design feature is the modular approach adopted for analysis, enabling new modules to be written easily and powerfully, using built-in data layer methods for standard calculations. Six analysis modules are provided, including Invariant Analysis, State-Space Analysis (deadlock, etc.), and Simulation Analysis and Classification. PIPE adheres to the XML Petri net standard (PNML). The file format for saving and loading Petri Nets is extensible through the use of XSLT, the default being PNML.
