mimic is a server that mimics Internet servers. It includes imitators for ftpd and telnetd, and can be extended with scripting to support other types of imitation. Users will believe they are connected to authentic services (such as ftpd or telnetd) but will never be able to log in. Everything that they type is logged. In addition, scripting new imitator services is simple. The program includes a one-liner example of a fully-functional echo server. The project's goal is to create a script for imitating most, if not all, popular Internet services.

xtermset is a command line utility to change several characteristics of an xterm. These are things like title, foreground color, background color, geometry and position. Furthermore the xterm can be iconified, restored to normal size, or refreshed.

Palm SV203 Serial Control Library was designed to send commands and receive analog-to-digital sensor input from a Pontech SV203 microcontroller board. It consists of one class and several support files. It has functions to control all servo functions (absolute move, incremental move, zero pulse, direct digital pin set/clear/toggle) and analog-to-digital sensor inputs. There is also a test program which utilizes most/all functionality of the library; it can be run standalone on the Palm to test an SV203 board.

Multi Gnome Terminal is an enhanced version of gnome-terminal, with many powerful new features and extensions. The most notable enhancement is the ability to run multiple terminals within the same window. Each terminal may be accessed by its "tab", through keyboard shortcuts, or menu selections. Inactive terminals provide an alert when the buffer changes by changing the color of the tab labels. Other enhancements include a toolbar, a buttonbar, flexible command options to launch new terminals, tabs, and shells from either the GUI or command line, customizable key bindings for MGT functions and other uses, font shadowing, the ability to "split" terminals so that each window can simultaneously multiple terminals, the ability to "view" or "bond" terminals with other terminals, and various other improvements.

S-terminal lets you create a secure X terminal. Regular X terminals pass unencrypted data between you the remote machine. S-terminal creates an encrypted tunnel through which all X traffic passes. It replaces the remote xdm login screen with a local application that collects username and password, then sets up an ssh tunnel to the remote host and starts a session. It is highly configurable both in appearance and behavior, and deployed S-terminals can be remotely administered. Best of all, it can be added to a KNOPPIX CD to create an instant, bootable, secure X terminal CD.

TMon System is a room temperature monitoring system, that uses a digital multimeter (Mastech MAS-345) connected to a serial port with an RS232C cable. Temperature readings are taken at set intervals, and should the temperature reach a certain threshold, an alert is sent via email or SMS. All readings are either logged to a file, or via 'syslog'.
