A self-contained package which allows use of a diskless, low-memory Sun SPARCstation (4c or 4m architecture) as an Xterminal client. The server can be almost any other system which has tftpboot capability. This package is 100% Linux. There are no Sun binaries or libraries included or needed. If you have a system with no disk, or perhaps an IPC which suffers from the dreaded "slowdown" bug, this is the package for you.
QuadKonsole is a terminal application that embeds Konsole kparts in a grid layout. This saves memory, provides faster startup, and makes it unnecessary to align your Konsole windows by hand. It also provides a lot more screen real estate, makes navigation easier by using arrow keys, and allows all Konsoles to minimized or maximized at once. It only occupies one slot in the taskbar.
ROTE is a simple C library for VT102 terminal emulation. It allows the programmer to set up virtual 'screens' and send them data. The virtual screens will emulate the behavior of a VT102 terminal, interpreting escape sequences, control characters and such. The library supports ncurses as well so that you may render the virtual screen to the real screen when you need to.
Lan Core is software that lets you build a thin client network on a Windows operating system. It was originally designed to work in a server or workstation with Windows XP Professional and using the native remote desktop protocol or RDP. To this end, the Lan Core package includes: (1) the Preboot Execution Environment or PXE service, a server application used to boot the thin clients (also referred as terminals or clients) in a local area network; (2) the thin client operating system (Thin OS), an embedded system based on Linux; and (3) an interface application used to manage the PXE service and thin clients. The thin clients' boot is done through a local area network (LAN), and it is based on the Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) protocol. In order to do it, Lan Core also provides two additional services: a DHCP server and a Trivial FTP server for Windows, used to assign IP addresses and transfer boot files, respectively.
AIBash is a project which aims to make Bash act more intelligently. It features typing error-correction and the ability to learn that certain file suffixes are associated with certain programs so that other programs are filtered out while pressing TAB. Other features are planned for the future.
