Dial! offers an easy way to communicate with your GSM mobile phone over the IR-port. It features fast access to numbers stored in the internal addressBook database, the ability to dial numbers quickly over the IR port, to write SMS messages up to 160 characters on your Palm and send them over your mobile, Flash SMS (SMS appears directly on the display of the receiving mobile), SMS report, store SMS in the outbox of your mobile, save SMS in the Palm Memopad after sending, and an optional provider database.
SMS spoof is a PalmOS application that allows you to send spoofed SMS messages. It uses a dialup connection to an EMI/UCP-compatible SMSC. It can be used with a modem connected to the Palm, such as an IR link to a GSM phone with a built-in modem. SMS spoof has been tested with Telenor's SMSC in Norway, but it should work with any SMSC that supports the EMI/UCP protocol, as long as no authentication is required.
