Apache Rivet is a system for creating dynamic Web content via a programming language integrated with Apache Web Server. It is designed to be fast, powerful and extensible, consume few system resources, be easy to learn, and to provide the user with a platform that can also be used for other programming tasks outside the web (GUIs, system administration tasks, text processing, database manipulation, XML, etc.). It is similar to PHP, except that it uses Tcl, and provides both HTML/Tcl pages as well as pure Tcl pages to aid the programmer in separating logic and presentation when necessary.
AppsLink is a Web service and platform that lets developers create small, tight, focused Web applications which can interoperate with other Web applications. The demo apps and libraries are the source to several AppsLinked apps, and some code to help developers develop AppsLinked apps.
ACDK is a development framework with a similar target of Microsoft's .NET or Sun's ONE platform, but it uses C++ as a core implementation language. It implements the standard library packages, including acdk::lang, acdk::lang::reflect, acdk::util, acdk::io, acdk::text (including regexpr), acdk::net, acdk::sql, acdk::xml, and more. Flexible allocator/garbage collection, threading, and Unicode are implemented in the core of ACDK. Extensions make C++ objects available for reflection, serialization, aspect-oriented class attributes, and [D]ynamic [M] ethod [I]nvocation. This DMI acts as an universal object oriented call interface to connect C++ with scripting languages (Java, Perl, Tcl, Python, Lisp, Visual Basic, and VBScript) and standard component technologies (CORBA and COM).
AsciiArtWidget creates and handles a widget with bindings appropriate for easy creation of ascii art. Basically it is a text widget filled with spaces and newlines, and character inserts replace a space, and backspace/delete replace characters with spaces so that the right hand side of the image is always in the right spot. Includes a mouse drag painting binding, and block sleection/delete, as well as a data loading and squaring system.
AudioSpace calculates the amount of storage required by an audio recording of a given duration, for different sampling rates, resolutions, and numbers of channels. The calculation may be made for uncompressed audio data or for several types of compression. A variety of units may be selected for reporting the result. The calculation may also be inverted to determine the maximum duration of audio that will fit into the available storage.
