Trebuchet Tk is a MUCK/MUSH/MOO GUI client written entirely in TCL/Tk. It supports both Unix/X11 and Windows, and includes powerful scripting, triggers, hilites, macros, quickbuttons, keybinds, etc. that you would expect from a good MU* client. It also supports MCP simple-edit, and GUI dialog packages for MOO and FBMUCK6. For Muck users, Trebuchet also supports intelligent colored editing of MUF and MPI programs.
trf is an extension library to the script language tcl, as created by John Ousterhout. It extends the language at the C-level with so-called "transformer"-procedures. With the help of some patches to the core the package is able to intercept all read/write operations on designated channels, thus giving it the ability to transform the buffer contents as desired. Existing transforms include Base64, UUencode, Hashes (SHA, MD5, ...), error correction codec, zlib-based compression, script level transforms.
VMD (Visual Molecular Dynamics) is designed for the visualization and analysis of biological systems such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipid bilayer assemblies, etc. It may be used to view more general molecules, as VMD can read standard Protein Data Bank (PDB) files and display the contained structure. VMD provides a wide variety of methods for rendering and coloring a molecule: simple points and lines, CPK spheres and cylinders, licorice bonds, backbone tubes and ribbons, cartoon drawings, and others. VMD can be used to animate and analyze the trajectory of a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. In particular, VMD can act as a graphical front end for an external MD program by displaying and animating a molecule undergoing simulation on a remote computer. VMD uses OpenGL and OpenGL Programmable Shading Language for high performance rendering of large structures.
Wallpaper Control is a non-window manager-specific wallpaper manager for the X Window System. It aims to be a full featured utility for managing and setting your images you use as wallpaper. Features include a preview window, directory listing, and deletion of graphics from hard drive.
WT looks a bit like the ArsDigita Templating System, but is a lot simpler and less tied to a particular Web Server. It is a system for dynamic content which uses Tcl as its scripting language, and whose templates look like HTML with a minimum number of extra tags. The tags look like HTML tags, and a template can be viewed unprocessed in any browser. Pages can be built by a graphics person using a package like Macromedia Dreamweaver, with minimal need to hack on the HTML directly. Page styling and page engineering are separate, and are brought together when output is requested. It runs as a CGI script with Apache (and possibly with other servers, but this is untested). Web Templating can run as an Apache "Handler", or be embedded into your own Tcl scripts.
WordNet® is an on-line lexical reference system whose design is inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory. English nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept. Different relations link the synonym sets.
World Foundry is a 3D level game engine and asset production pathway with over 170,000 lines of code. It was originaly created as a commercial product, but is now being released under the GPL. The engine was designed from the beginning to be cross platform, and ran on Windows (DirectX, GL), and the Sony Playstation. The production pathway ran on Windows, and extended 3DStudio Max to be our level editor. The engine is currently being ported to Linux (it runs, but needs work), with plans to port the production pathway as well. Developers are wanted to help with this effort.
