GPSMan (GPS Manager) is a graphical manager of GPS data that makes possible the preparation, inspection, and edition of GPS data in a friendly environment. It supports communication with both Garmin, Lowrance, and Magellan receivers, and real-time support for any receiver using NMEA-0183. It can also be used in command-line mode.
Moodss is a modular monitoring application, which supports operating systems (Linux, UNIX, Windows, etc.), databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, ODBC, etc.), networking (SNMP, Apache, etc.), and any device or process for which a module can be developed (in Tcl, Python, Perl, Java, and C). OMNeT++ is a C++-based object-oriented Discrete Event Simulation framework, primarily targeted at the simulation of communication networks and other parallel/distributed systems. It includes a graphical network editor, a network topology description language, a rich simulation class library, multiple execution environments (both GUI and command line), a result plotting tool, detailed documentation, many sample simulations, and much more.
SigLab is a calculator designed for working on signals. You can use it to load, save, or generate signals, and do various operations on and between signals (addition, log, abs, sin, filtering, convolution, fft, correlation, etc.). Signal parts are constantly displayed. SigLab was designed to be able to handle the results of simulations or measurements. It can handle signals with millions of points, keeping in memory a small piece of each signal. To keep good performance, it caches in memory signal portions. SigLab was specifically designed for Ptolemy users. It will start at the end of a simulation and show all asked signals.
The Snack sound extension adds commands for sound play/record and sound visualization, e.g. waveforms and spectrograms. It supports in- memory sound objects, file based audio, streaming audio, WAV, AU, AIFF, and MP3 file formats, synchronous and asynchronous playback. The visualization canvas item types update in real-time and can output postscript. New commands and file formats can be added using the Snack C-API.
tkalc is a pocket calculator for developers and IP network operators. Arbitrary arithmetic or logical expressions can be entered very quickly in a text entry field. The result is then simultaneously displayed in decimal, hexadecimal, octal, binary, ASCII, IP address, and Boolean format. It accepts all number formats, operators, and functions that can be handled by the Tcl interpreter and extends this even further for input of IP addresses and binary numbers.
