It has been designed to handle anywhere from dozens of computers on a single site to 100 000+ computers spread on many sites. It is an easy-to-use, safe, and flexible solution that lets you create and deploy hard disk images of your computers, deploy new software and security updates on all your IT assets, perform software and hardware inventory, and perform remote diagnostics and remote management.
HDT (Hardware Detection Tool) is an OS independent tool that displays low-level information on any x86 compatible system. It detects ACPI, CPU, PCI devices, DMI (memory, BIOS, motherboard, IPMI base board, chassis, batteries, CPU), disks (geometry, partitions), PXE environment, VESA modes, and VPD. It can also deduce the Linux kernel modules needed by a given host.
ITWorks Basic is an IT asset management native iPhone application. It lets you store and manage detailed information about computers, devices, and users, using AES-128 encryption. A Master Password is set up on first run that both protects access to your information and encrypts your data. When you want to add new information, or edit/delete existing records you must 'unlock' the Application using the Master Password, which will also let you view your passwords in clear text. A Regular version adds the ability to export your data via e-mail to an XLS document.
sc-tool is a commandline tool intended to simplify administration of traffic shapers for Internet Service Providers. It features fast loading of large rulesets using batch modes of tc and ipset, loading of information from any SQL database supported by Perl DBI, a batch command execution mode, and synchronization of rules with databases.
The drkhtb project was designed with medium to major Internet Service Providers in mind. Featuring extended hashing support, error handling, and simple configuration options, it has proven to be a stable solution for shaping up to 15000 residential clients with both upload and download rules, it is considered stable and is already in use as a production platform in at least one major ISP running 4 shaping bridges, each handling up to 2 Gbit/s, with a total of 48000 active clients and over 60000 filter rules in each direction. At this point there is no reason to believe that further bandwidth cannot be handled by one bridge, but there have not been sufficient resources to extensively test it. It is believed that up to 4 Gbit/s can be shaped on one individual machine serving at least 20000 clients.
