Ansible is a radically simple deployment, configuration, and command execution framework. It is dead simple and painless to extend. Extending Ansible does not require programming in any particular language; you can write modules as scripts or programs which return simple JSON. It’s also trivially easy to just execute useful shell commands.

Chef is a systems integration framework, built to bring the benefits of configuration management to your entire infrastructure. With Chef, you can manage your servers by writing code, not by running commands (via Cookbooks), integrate tightly with your applications, databases, LDAP directories, and more (via Libraries), and easily configure applications that require knowledge about your entire infrastructure ("What systems are running my application?" "What is the current master database server?").

ChiMeRA is a configuration management tool designed around three basic concepts. The first is a framework for managing servers, allowing for command execution and file transfer over SSH. The second is a repository for managing files that enables change tracking, archiving, and management of various user definable configuration files across multiple servers through a standard revision control tool. The third concept is an aesthetic principle of simplicity, giving administrators straightforward interfaces to manage complicated environments.

DHCPD Configuration Editor (DCE) is a Web service that allows you to update MAC addresses in the dhcpd.conf of an ISC DHCP server. It can load a dhcpd.conf file from a server, save a modified dhcpd.conf file to a server, import a dhcpd.conf file from the local filesystem, export a modified dhcpd.conf to the local filesystem, and change the MAC address of previously declared host entries. It can be used with the minimalist General Configuration Form Manager server, or with Apache and its PHP module.

Epikscan is a cluster aware, diagnostic script that runs basic health checks and gathers detailed, addressable system information from an RHEL, Scientific Linux, Oracle/OVM2, or CentOS 4, 5, or 6 system. A single archive is created for each host, containing the scan data along with linking information that can be merged with scans from other nodes to produce a cluster oriented report. HTML, text, XML, and SQLite3 database reports can be optionally generated to support both manual and automated fault analysis. The scan and merge process attempts to heuristically identify possible problems with the node or cluster configuration and highlights them in red to speed up the review and resolution process.
