Adapro is a customizable multi-user word processor originally geared towards users with a learning disability or developmental disorder, such as dyslexia or autism. Hence its array of assistive features, including inline representation of words through pictograms, a virtual keypad with configurable phrase buttons, a dyslexia-friendly font, PBDQ, and high-contrast modes. The editing interface can be customized on a per-user basis, and documents produced with it can be exported to RTF for further editing in OpenOffice or other software. If Java 6 is on the system, it doesn't even require installation.
dhcpy6d delivers IPv6 addresses for DHCPv6 clients, which can be identified by DUID, hostname, or MAC address, as in the good old IPv4 days. Addresses may be generated randomly, by range, or by arbitrary ID or MAC address. Clients can get more than one address, leases and client configuration can be stored in databases, and DNS can be updated dynamically.
Klen-library is a program for creating electronic books. It consists of three modules, for editing books, reading books, and creating tests. It offers password protection of every book and the editing mode. The print function makes it self-sufficient, as it allows creation of books without using third-party text editors. It uses SQLite, so you don't have to install a database server. It can export to the XWB, HTML, TXT, PDF, PostScript, and RTF formats, and can import from XWB, HTML, and TXT.
The Pegasus Workflow Management System encompasses a set of technologies which help workflow-based applications execute in a number of different environments, including desktops, campus clusters, grids, and clouds. It bridges the scientific domain and the execution environment by automatically mapping high-level workflow descriptions onto distributed resources. It automatically locates the necessary input data and computational resources necessary for workflow execution. It enables scientists to construct workflows in abstract terms without worrying about the details of the underlying execution environment or the particulars of the low-level specifications required by the middleware (Condor, Globus, or Amazon EC2). It bridges the current cyberinfrastructure by effectively coordinating multiple distributed resources.
KeyBox provides a way to manage OpenSSH v2 public keys, and can start a Web-based SSH terminal to execute commands and scripts on multiple SSH sessions simultaneously. The authorized_keys file is generated and distributed based on relationships maintained in the application. This allows for centralized management to help prevent public key sprawl. Also, composite terminals or scripts can be created so that commands can be shared across SSH sessions.
WaldScan is a PHP class which recursively scans a given directory for a list of selected file types. It has many uses for any Web page which serves files over HTTP/HTTPS, for a CLI program which does batch processing of files, or in cron jobs for caching file data for faster access.
SQLet allows you to directly execute SQL on multiple text files, right from the Linux commandline. In one single command, you can read in text files (with or without header lines) and perform arbitrary select statements, including joins over several files. SQLet can thus replace awk or grep in some instances.
A tool for dynamically changing the properties of a running XFree86 xterm.
