AcmosisFR is a PHP frontend for IRPd, the shoutcast/icecast streamer. Using this frontend you can create a fully interactive radio service accessible via a Web page (providing current song details, requesting/skipping songs, statistics, playlist management, and more). It also includes a patch for IRPd compatibility with yp.shoutcast.com.
WOMP! is a micro Linux distribution on a bootable CD that takes up 13 to 18MB depending on the selected options. It does not install anything on the computer's hard drive, automatically detects your sound card, network card (including PCMCIA), Conexant soft modem (present on most notebooks), or PCMCIA modem. After booting it allows you to play movie and audio files, as well as browse image files on CDs or the local hard drive. It can also play DVDs, VCDs, and audio CDs, and browse the Web over the LAN or using PPP. It can be configured to automatically play content after booting.
DansTuner is a program to tell you if you are playing a pitch in tune. Major features include automatic discovery of which note you are trying to play (good for trumpet, singer, etc.), the ability to play a guide tone at a configurable volume, a graphical moving "needle" with a red/green display and detail about how flat or sharp you are, and an easily configurable background noise threshold.
VLC media player is a multimedia player, framework, streamer, and encoder. It can play inputs like files, network streams, DVDs, audio CDs, Blu-Rays, capture devices, and screens. It can play most audio and video codecs and formats (MPEG 1/2/4, H264, VC-1, DivX, WMV, Vorbis, AC3, AAC, MKV, etc.), but can also be used to convert to different formats and/or send streams through the network.
