The ALSA MIDI Filter application consists of a main script, named midifilter, and supporting Perl modules, configuration files, and documentation. It runs as an ALSA MIDI client that can receive input from a source (such as a MIDI keyboard connected to the computer), perform various filtering and other functionality based on the type and content of the MIDI input, and send the result to one or more other MIDI clients.

AeonWave-OpenAL is a thin OpenAL emulation layer that uses AeonWave to create one of the fastest rendering OpenAL implementations available. OpenAL is a cross-platform 3D audio API appropriate for use with gaming applications and many other types of audio applications. Its API style and conventions deliberately resemble those of OpenGL.
MMLi is a simple Music Macro Language interpreter written in ISO C99. The Music Macro Language originated in 8-bit BASIC implementations (as part of the “PLAY” command), and can still be found in modern BASICs (like QB64) and in system software (like FreeBSD's spkr.c driver.) This interpreter features an example "mmlitest" program which can be used to translate MML sequences into beep(1) commandline arguments.
MrsWatson is a commandline audio plugin host. It takes one or more plugins, sends an audio signal to them for processing, and saves the resulting output. Although the plugins think they are running in realtime, processing is actually done offline (this is not the same as the "offline" processing in VST terminology). This makes MrsWatson ideal for developing or debugging plugins, or processing audio on a server.

MSCP (Media Server Control Panel) is a management interface for Icecast2 with comprehensive functionality. An administrator can create users and then edit access rights, set the number of listener slots, enable or disable AutoDJ, etc. Users may change several parameters of the Icecast2 server and the AutoDJ via a Web-based interface. Audio compression formats supported by the AutoDJ are MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and FLAC. MSCP does not require an SQL server and runs on an independent Web server. It also sets Icecast2 to Shoutcast-compatible mode.
Lyra is a front-end to the Music Player Daemon (MPD). Based loosely on the Creative Media Source software, it has the aim of supporting large collections of albums and artists. Other interesting features are the implementation of a local cache of the music library using an SQLite database, increased speed, and flexibility. In addition, Lyra supports integration with the Last.fm service, which includes "Scrobbling" and album cover art.
The Kowalski project aims to provide a data driven, lightweight cross platform audio solution. The target audience is developers of games and similar applications where real time audio plays an important role. The Kowalski engine, which is the runtime component, relies only on host-specific external libraries to pass the final output buffers to the audio hardware. All other processing is done in the engine code. Features include positional audio (distance attenuation, cone attenuation, Doppler shift, binaural panning), real time Ogg Vorbis decoding, a powerful mix bus system, and tools to build, validate, and view Kowalski data.
