PHP Voice (formerly known as PHP VXML) contain four classes that assist in developing voice application using PHP. It supports Speech Synthesis Markup Language 1.0, Speech Recognition Grammar Specification 1.0, Voice Browser Call Control: CCXML 1.0, and Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML) 2.0.
Transcend can best be described as retro-style, abstract, 2D shooter. The graphics are geometrical, and the pace is sometimes frenzied. Two features set Transcend apart from other games. First, its dynamic graphical engine, which can smoothly morph from one complex shape to another in realtime, produces striking displays. Combining these dynamic shapes with subtle randomizations ensures that each new play through a level is visually different from the last. The second novel feature is the musical power-up system. As you play through a level, you are simultaneously assembling an abstract visual collage and arranging a unique piece of music.
Waveform is a small application that draws and exports function graphs (such as y = sin(x)) especially for use with audio programs as waveforms. It is limited to only one graph because it is not designed for other uses, and it only outputs .wav files. It can display graphs on the screen, render .wav waveform files from them, and preview them through Open Sound System. The application has been tested on Linux (CRUX 1.3) and Windows 98SE, but the sound output only works in Linux (OSS).
Patel is a small, primitive synthesizer project, designed for making "chiptune" style sounds, and targeted especially at old, low-power, or embedded hardware. Currently it is in the form of a simple prototype program, in the course of developing a synthesizer library. Although it is already largely functional, little work has been carried out on making it usable, and various features are still missing or uncertain.
Open Sound World (OSW) is a scalable, extensible programming environment that allows musicians, sound designers, and researchers to process sound in response to expressive real-time control. It combines a familiar visual patching paradigm with solid programming language features such as a strong type system and hierarchical name spaces. OSW also includes an intuitive model for specifying new components using a graphical interface and high-level C++ expressions, making it easy to develop and share new music and signal processing algorithms.
Frocor, the F Resonating Objects Correlator, is a sound- graphics installation. It is based on some parallels between sounds and geometric objects, such as volume and size, frequency and color, etc. Changes of properties of a Frocor object will result in changes of both the graphics and the sound output.
