zlcatalog is a C library that can be used to organize information in a non-hierarchical way. It features an XML file structure, elements that can belong to multiple groups, groups that can be sorted by name or date, and an API that provides easy methods of bulding groups from directories, adding/removing groups, adding/removing elements, etc.
zlib is designed to be a free, general-purpose, legally unencumbered, lossless data-compression library for use on virtually any computer hardware and operating system. The zlib data format is itself portable across platforms. Unlike the LZW compression method used in Unix compress(1), the compression method currently used in zlib essentially never expands the data. (LZW can double or triple the file size in extreme cases.) zlib's memory footprint is also independent of the input data and can be reduced, if necessary, at some cost in compression.
Zoem is a general-purpose macro/programming language that submits text to a two-stage transformation process. Macro expansion and interpretation is followed by application of customizable character filtering rules. Zoem supports inside-out evaluation, comprehensive IO, control operators, iteration, dictionary stacks, multidimensional data storage, arithmetic expressions, regular expressions, system commands, and more.
zzuf is a transparent application input fuzzer. Its purpose is to find bugs in applications by corrupting their user-contributed data, which frequently comes from untrusted sources on the Internet. It works by intercepting file and network operations and changing random bits in the program's input. zzuf's behavior is deterministic, making it easier to reproduce bugs.
µsli is a register machine which can be used for learning the basic concepts of register machines. It uses Sexp program files as input and features a stack, simple arithmetics, and conditional jumps. The register machine comes with a lean Swing GUI that supports editing the program, stepping through and monitoring the registers, and the stack. It aims to be a lightweight, but usable and extendable, learning environment for students and adults that want learn about register machines and register based virtual machines.
