album is a free HTML/XHTML photo album and gallery generator that supports themes/skins. You can choose different themes or write your own to get different layouts and styles. It creates all your thumbnails (including directory thumbnails) and descends into directories so you can organize your photos. See the home page for more examples. album is also multi-lingual, with many languages being added all the time. OIO is a Web-based metadata/data management front-end which is built using Zope and works with Postgresql. No programming is required to build and manage Web-forms or to perform data mining/analysis on the collected data. It is in production at the Harbor/UCLA Medical Center for clinical outcomes management and research data. Forms created with OIO and hosted on any OIO server can be downloaded as XML files. Once downloaded from the "Forms library" and imported into an OIO server, the necessary database tables are automatically recreated and the imported forms become immediately available to the users of that OIO server.

PicBook automatically produces a photo album in HTML format of your scanned images or photographs. It come with automatic image processing, slideshow, transition effects, and other nifty features. It is easy to customise with its configuration file and HTML-templates. PicBook is a Bourne shell script and therefore should run on any Unix or Linux system. It requires the standard grep and awk commands, which should be available on most systems. Additionally, it needs the "convert" and "identify" commands from the ImageMagick package to handle images.

pngcheck is the official PNG tester and debugger. Originally designed simply to test the CRCs within a PNG image file (e.g., to check for ASCII rather than binary transfer), it has since been extended to check and optionally print almost all the information about a PNG image and to verify that it conforms to the PNG specification. It also includes partial support for MNG animations.

The objective of the NIST Web Metrics Testbed is to explore the feasibility of a range of tools and techniques that support rapid, remote, and automated testing and evaluation of website usability. There are currently six components: 1. Web Static Analyzer Tool (WebSAT): checks web page HTML against typical usability guidelines. 2. Web Category Analysis Tool (WebCAT): lets the usability engineer construct and conduct a web category analysis (card-sorting). 3. Web Variable Instrumenter Program (WebVIP): instruments a website to capture a log of user interaction. 4. Framework for Logging Usability Data (FLUD): a file format and parser for representation of user interaction logs (such as those captured by WebVIP). 5. VisVIP Tool: produces a 3D visualization of user navigation paths through a website, based on FLUD data. 6. TreeDec: adds navigation aids to the pages of a website.

BINS is a valid HTML 4 photo album generator with support for internationalization, EXIF, and customizable charset encoding, including UTF-8 (Unicode). Albums can contains other sub-albums. The appearance of the album can be fully personalized by using template and configuration parameters. The number and size of scaled pictures can be chosen in pixels or percentage of the original image. Several description fields (date, location, etc.) can be associated with the pictures, and you can add additional description fields. A command line utility or a GTK+ GUI can be used to set or edit description fields. BINS can use the EXIF data structure found in some pictures to automatically fill some fields (most notably, date and time) and to produce a page providing all information available on the picture, as well as the DigiCam settings when the photo was taken. All image meta-data are stored in XML files.
