Ren'ai/Dating Simulation Engine is derived from a type of computer game from Japan. The player controls a point of view (POV) game character, who interacts with other game characters in the hopes of winning the love of one of them. So far all of these games are closed source, and none have been translated into English. The Ren'ai includes a cross platform, internationalized game engine, on which dating sim type games can be played, plus an English based game to play on that engine.

The Deimos Project is a 3D space combat simulator and modular game library collection. It includes a 3D modeler designed with a programmer's needs in mind. It allows you to construct 3D models by writing Java source code. All you need to design a model is a computer, some graph paper, and a pencil. The modeler's internals function as a simple OpenGL scene graph API, without preventing the use of low-level OpenGL commands. For storing settings and other hierarchically-representable data, the project provides a Hierarchy library that stores data atomically using XML. It also features a timing library, a game object container system, and many other features.
GarlicSim is a platform for writing, running, and analyzing simulations. It is general enough to handle any kind of simulation: physics, game theory, epidemic spread, electronics, etc. GarlicSim aims to eliminate the need to write any boilerplate code that isn't directly related to the phenomenon you're simulating. GarlicSim defines a new format for simulations, called a simulation package and often abbreviated as simpack. The simpack contains all the code that define the simulated system, and is simply a Python package which defines a few special functions according to the GarlicSim simpack API. Simpack code may also be written in C. All of the tools that GarlicSim provides can be used to run simulations of all kinds of different domains.
ODE is a high performance library for simulating rigid body dynamics. It is fully featured, stable, mature, and platform independent with an easy-to-use C/C++ API. It has advanced joint types and integrated collision detection with friction. ODE is useful for simulating vehicles, objects in virtual reality environments, and virtual creatures. It is currently used in many computer games, 3D authoring tools, and simulation tools.
Beneath A Binary Sky is an engine that simulates a world in which robots controlled by programs can live, work, fight, and even bear new children. The long-term goal of the project is to create a fully configurable engine that can simulates any kind of world, from simple to complex ones with many rules and events.
