It provides automatic hardware detection and its default shell is the zsh. You can use it e.g. as a rescue system, for analyzing systems/networks, or as a working environment. It is not necessary to install anything to a hard disk; you don't even need a hard disk to run it. Due to on-the-fly decompression, it includes more than 2 GB of software and documentation on the CD.
GNU Bash is an sh-compatible command language interpreter that executes commands read from the standard input or from a file. Bash also incorporates useful features from the Korn and C shells (ksh and csh). cw is a non-intrusive real-time ANSI color wrapper for common Unix-based commands. It is designed to simulate the environment of the commands being executed, so that if a person types 'du', 'df', 'ping', etc. in their shell it will automatically color the output in real-time according to a definition file containing the color format desired. It has support for wildcard match coloring, tokenized coloring, headers/footers, case scenario coloring, command-line- dependent definition coloring, and includes over 50 pre- made definition files.
