UConvert is a units conversion program that easily and quickly shows equivalencies for everything from common units such as feet in a mile to obscure units such as therms in a joule. Units are indexed by categories. This lets you find all the valid units for a specific category. For example, for the category "frequency," you can easily see the valid units are cycles/second, Hertz, radians/second and revolutions/minute. The converter then lets you convert any of these units to any of the other units.
UniT is a general purpose text generator written in and with full access to Java. It can be used to generate any text of any format, including program code of any programming language (Java, C, C++, SQL, etc.), or documentation of any format (HTML, XML, RTF, LaTex, etc.). It is similar to JSP, but easier, more general, and more flexible. With an appropriate parser (XML-Parser, like DOM), UniT can also be used to convert text documents.
WebBBS is a Web-based bulletin board. Unlike most other such boards, though, it stores messages as simple text files and creates HTML pages on the fly, meaning that the message index can be tailored by the user based on date and/or subject and can be viewed as threaded, chronological, or guestbook-style lists. It also supports automatic quoting of message text and e-mail notification of those who want to know immediately when a new message has been posted, and offers an archive-only option, the ability to run moderated boards, and cookie support.
TalentSoft Web+ (WebPlus) is a development tool dedicated for developing web-based client-server applications without writing CGI programs. It enables rapid/easy creation of highly functional web pages which integrates with databases, files systems, email, Java applets, and other third-party programs. With Web+, users can quickly and easily create powerful Web applications without learning complicated programming languages such as C, C++, PERL, or Java. Web+ currently runs on Microsoft Windows NT/95, Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, SGI IRIX, and will soon be available on other Unix systems. It works with most web servers and integrates with all ODBC compliant databases.
WinDriver automates and simplifies the development of user-mode Linux device drivers for PCI, CardBus, ISA, PMC, PCI-X, PCI-EXPRESS, and CompactPCI as well as USB 1.1/2.0. No internal OS knowledge or kernel level programming is required. It supports kernel 2.0.31 and above, including embedded Linux, x86 and PowerPC processors, and any 32-bit development environment supporting C or Delphi. Applications are source code compatible across Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/XP Embedded/Server 2003/CE, Linux, Solaris, and VxWorks.
Zigzag is a multi-dimensional data organizing system by Ted Nelson, the creator of the "hypertext" concept and the Xanadu project. Things are organized into cells like a spreadsheet, but without the rigid two-dimensional structure. Zigzag is currently implemented in Perl and distributed as shareware for $25.00 U.S.
Lava's jDES is a highly optimized, highly configurable implementation of the Data Encryption Standard (DES) in Java. jDES was designed with four goals in mind: accuracy, speed, ease of use, and configurability. jDES utilizes Sharkysoft's proprietary reformulation of DES optimized for 32-bit machines. jDES was initially released as an integrated feature of Lava, a general-purpose class library for Java. By popular demand, it is now distributed in its own bundle.
